The Paducah Gun Show is one of the busiest gun shows in Kentucky. It's held every other week at the old bank building on Broadway in Paducah. This year, it was held on Wednesday, September 5th from 8am to 4pm. There were over 100 exhibitors and dealers from all over Kentucky and Tennessee. The showroom was full of new and used firearms, shotguns, rifles, handguns, ammo, and more. One of the most interesting things about this show is that there are usually several different types of pistols available for sale. Some people like to buy handguns that are unusual or unique, while others like to buy guns that are mostly standard issue Beretta pistols. I've seen a few Smith & Wesson revolvers as well as a few Glock handguns available for sale at the show. There were also several vendor tents set up around thesquare main floor of the bank building. These vendors typically sell firearms accessories such as holster fittings and sights, armor piercing ammunition, etc., as well as clothing related to firearms (such as NRA-approved gear). It's always fun to visit these tents during an event like this because you can see how many different types of firearms are being sold each day!

In 1829, John Chilton (a planter) donated land to form what would become Paducah University which became one of the leading universities in America with its School of Medicine starting operations in 1830. In 1876, Paducah joined with other surrounding towns to form what is now called Holmes County and adopted its current name for all purposes - Paducah–Winchester Micropolitan Statistical Area. One major reason why this area has been so successful has been its large number of highly skilled labor forces: manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and service industries have all be very active here over the years, contributing significantly to economic growth and job creation throughout the region. Paducah is a city in the U.S. state of Kentucky and the county seat of Campbell County. It was founded in 1814 by the French Canadians who then controlled much of what is now Kentucky. At one time, it was the largest town in Kentucky and second to Lexington after Paris. The population was 23,591 as of 2019. The first Europeans to enter Paducah were Pierre Francois de Laclède and his party on March 25, 1814, when they set out from Fort Donelson on horseback for what would be their only trip eastward beyond the Mississippi River. Laclède had been sent by General James Kenton to explore new territory in central Kentucky that he believed lay between Louisville and Nashville. On their way they passed through present-day Paducah on March 24th before continuing northeast along the Ohio River until they reached Clarksville (now Lebanon). From there they turned northwest and camped at Greencastle on April 2nd before moving into present-day Paducah on April 6th where they arrived safely after spending two days travelling overland from Clarksville/Lebanon
Paducah was founded by the Paducah tribe in 1792. It became a town in 1827 and became a city in 1907. It is the county seat of Campbell County, Kentucky.
