Jeffersontown is a small town in eastern Kentucky, located on the Cumberland River. The town was founded in 1800 by John Jefferys and his family. In 1824, it became the seat of government for Jefferson County, which included present-day Jeffersontown. The area that now makes up Jeffersontown was first settled by Native Americans in the late Prehistoric period. The first European to visit what is now Jeffersontown was Captain James Cook in 1778. He named the area after his home town of reflecton, England. In 1857, Samuel Morse began transmitting messages through Morse code using two lenses attached to an eyepiece so he could send signals directly from his eye rather than having them bounced off obstructions like trees or hillsides before reaching him near Boston Harbor. This development helped usher in the age of photography which would eventually create our digitalera! By 1907, Nikon had created their own type ofbinocular called the Nikon Tessar which allowed users to take pictures with their binoculars while they watched!. This invention would help people capture amazing moments never before possible! After World War II ended in 1945, many new technologies emerged such as television which helped change how we view world events today! Jefferson Township is home to many businesses that produce bourbon whiskey including Hensley-Reed Distillery, Barracks & Armour Distillery, Monastery Meadery, Wernham Hills Winery etc., making it one of the most important areas for this industry in Kentucky. The growth of this sector has led to job loss among some residents but also helped keep local businesses open throughout difficult times.

Jeffersontown was founded in 1796 by General George Washington and his army during the French and Indian War. It became a state capital in 1800. The first courthouse was built in 1802 and the first bank opened in 1812. Jeffersontown was destroyed by fire on November 5, 1828, but was rebuilt within five years and current boundaries were established that year. In 1830, three miles east of downtown Jeffersontown developed what is now River Hills as a fashionable enclave for white people from surrounding counties with large estates. By 1840 these areas were mostly African American with a few white families living there as well. This change began to happen when slaves who had been bought or born into slave economies began to be freed and move away from their plantations towards urban areas where education and opportunities awaited them free from debt bondage
