Pistol target shootings allowed people to experience firsthand how accurate these new firearms could be. Many old rifles and shotguns also found their way into this type of shooting activity as well – adding even more excitement and fun for participants! By 1825, there were at least fourgun shops operating within town limits! This growth was due to both increased demand from residents for qualityguns (which had become increasingly rare) as well as the growing popularity of pistol target shooting among adults! Gun Target Shooters Association Incorporated was formed that year to help promote these activities throughout town! In 1917, independence became a state capital city and officially renamed Frankfort after then-President James Kenedy’s visit! It wasn’t until 1934 that guntarget shootings stopped taking place within town limits altogether! With so many new developments happening within our community over the decades – it’s no wonder thatgun targets continue to play an important role on local culture today!

Independence, Kentucky is a small town in the US state of Kentucky. The population was 2,859 at the 2010 census. It is located on the border of Kentucky and Tennessee. The town was founded in 1792 by Captain John Sevier as a trading post on the Cumberland River. Sevier named it for himself, Independence, because he desired to maintain control over his own territory and not be subject to any other power. In 1815, Congress passed an act authorizing the establishment of a distillery in Independence. The Distiller's Act of 1821 designated Independence as the capital of what would become western Kentucky. In 1830, General James Hays moved his army from Nashville to take control of eastern Kentucky following his victory over Andrew Jackson in the Battle of Fallen Timbers. When news spread that Hays had arrived in Liberty County,KY residents welcomed him with open arms and elected him their new governor. This event helped convince Congress to pass an act giving freedom to all slaves in all US states by December 1,1830. In 1865, when Confederate General Robert Ewell invaded Union-held east Tennessee (named for President James K Polk), Independence offered its sympathies tothe Confederacy and burned down several stores and homes before withdrawing without fighting. In 1870, businesses began moving out of Independence as people realized that railroads were coming through nearby Louisville instead and business declined even further until World War II brought about a resurgence in independence-based commerce with wartime exemptions from taxes

The first European to arrive in what is now Kentucky was Giovanni da Verrazzano, who explored the region in 1540. The area became a part of Virginia after the American Revolution. After the war, Kentucky became a part of the new United States and was admitted as a state on December 12, 1792.
