Fenton and his son Amos Fenton. The company specialized in making gun safes for businesses and individuals. These safe companies were responsible for keeping firearms out of the hands of criminals and other prohibited individuals. In 1911, Captain Henson bought the business from Captain Fenton’s son Amos Fenton Jr.; however, he continued to operate it as a separate entity until his death in 1936. From then on, it became known as Captain Henson’s Safe Company; however, this name change never lasted long because Captain Henson had no children who could take over his business dynasty). Captain Henson’s Safe Company manufactured many different types of firearmssafes including those made from wrought iron or brass available today (although they are rare). Some of these safes still remain in use today such as at the old Bicentennial Park Museum which houses some of America’s most historic firearms relics! Independence, Kentucky is a small town in the Great Lakes region of the United States. The population was 927 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1792 by James Wilkinson and his family as an agricultural village on land that they purchased from the Lenape Native Americans. Wilkinson later became a delegate to the Continental Congress and played a significant role in developing American independence from Great Britain. In 1802, he donated land to create what would become Independence Park. The town saw its first permanent settler in 1825 when John Crouch bought six acres of land near present-day Louisville. A post office called Independence was established in 1827, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. The community acquired its name from its location on the Ohio River opposite Kentucky statehood proclamation ceremonies attended by President James K. Polk and Vice President Andrew Johnson on July 15, 1837. In 1840, Independence contained only 640 people; however, it grew rapidly due tothe opening of new mines and lumber mills along the Ohio River Valley and increased trade with nearby Louisville and Lexington. By 1850, Independence had a population of 2,500 people and most notably developed into an agricultural center with large corn cribs which were widely grown for export to England (now known as Amish country). According to The Encyclopedia Britannica: "independence has been variously described as one of America's earliest towns or one of her most vigorous economic forces... conducted under able leadership." A cotton gin erected by local contractor Samuel Belknap helped spur business growth during this period while also providing employment for many residents including women who did not typically work outside the home at that time In 1896 William McKinley named Independence Mayor; he served until 1904 when he became Ulysses S Grant's Secretary of War

With independence came new risks for Kentucky as it became an unincorporated territory with no real government or economy. However, over time Kentucky grew into one of America's most prosperous and agricultural regions thanks in part to cheap land available from Congress and private enterprise. Today, Lexington is home to more than 100 businesses and is known as "the cradle of American democracy."

In 1777, when Congress approved Declaration of Independence, Independence was declared in Kentucky. The town's population quickly grew to support their new government and celebrate their victory.
