Businesses included a blacksmith shop and a grocery store which still operates today; both located on Main Street just east of the current town square! In addition to their businesses, many Glasgows families also became involved in religious services offered through the Presbyterian Church (UPC) – an affiliation that would continue into the 20th century despite jurisdictional differences between Scotland and Johnson County! Eventually glass production became an important factor within Glasgows economy as well as providing jobs for many locals during the early years following World War II when kilns were produced at local factories near Carthage Hill outside Glasgow! Over time though Kiln production switched focus to aluminum products which have now become our primary economic drivers once again! Today’s Glasgans are proud homeowners whose traditions include Gaelic football (soccer), fishing (caney bass or catfish), golfing (9 holes at Prestwick Country Club), baking bread & cookies at home (& enjoying rich Scottish culture along the way!), music performances throughout the year from locally formed bandshell societies (& plenty of whisky too!), AND much more!
