Another solution that has proven effective is installation of metal detectors at gun shows where weapons sales take place (these devices detect guns like bombs) in order to make it easier for store employeesTo detect potential criminals who may try to steal weapons during these transactions however this method still requires extra vigilance by store employees who must constantly watch video footage throughout the day while customers shop around the sales floor

Georgetown is one of the oldest towns in Bluegrass County and has been inhabited by humans since prehistoric times. The first Europeans to visit Georgetown were French traders in 1755. In 1802, General John Armstrongestablished a military post here and named it Fort Armstrong after his father-in-law, General James Armistead. By 1830, Georgetown had a population of 586 people. It declined during the American Civil War because so many mines were closed down in Kentucky due to Union efforts to block Confederate supplies. However, when Reconstruction began in America following the war, Georgetown bounced back quickly and became an important center for education and commerce. In 1869, Jeremiah Sledge founded Sledge’s Candy Company here and remains one of the most well known candy companies in Kentucky today. The company was originally headquartered on Main Street until it moved to its current location on Market Street in 1951. In addition to its candy products, Sledge’s also produced ice cream and other snacks such as bread pudding and potatoes au gratin. He is also buried at nearby Greenmount Cemetery
Georgetown was founded in 1790 by General George Washington and Colonel John Beckwith. The town served as a military post during the American Revolution, and was named for Georgetown, Kentucky, which then lay adjacent to the site. In 1814, Georgetown became an incorporated city. During the Civil War, it was occupied by Confederate forces and subsequently burned down. It reopened in 1865 as a small town with a population of around 100 people. In 1978, Georgetown became part of the Louisville metropolitan area.
