Frankfort, Kentucky was founded in 1795 and has been a center of cultural and political life for over two centuries. In that time, the town has seen many changes, from its small-time beginnings to its current large-scale presence. Today, Frankfort is a thriving city with an active nightlife, lively shopping districts, and rich history. The first settlers in what is now Frankfort were farmers who arrived in the area during the early 1800s. The town began to grow rapidly after the opening of the railroads in 1873. By 1888, it had reached its present size and importance. It became a popular entertainment district due to its close proximity to urban areas and its convenient transportation options. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, guns were an important part of everyday life in Frankfort. Many businesses did not allow customers to bring firearms into their stores because they feared they would be confiscated by law enforcement. This led to some interesting gun cases from this period: one defendant was successfully prosecuted for violating his probation by possessing a gun he had purchased at a pawnshop; another man was acquitted of charges after being caught carrying a loaded revolver on campus; and yet another man was found guilty of brandishing a firearm but cleared when it was revealed that he only knew how to use it crudely. In response to these events, Mayor James Gatton enacted ordinance number 7 (1899) which made it illegal for any business owner or person employed by any business owner within 1 mile of city limits to refuse service to anyone wearing anything "that shall obstruct or impede cavalry or artillery drill" or "acting as if under military discipline." This ordinance effectively regulated gun ownership in Frankfort throughout the years until it was repealed by order of Mayor Clarence Wickersham in 1955.

Frankfort is a town in Frankfort County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 10,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lexington, Kentucky Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlement in what is now Frankfort was made in 1820 by a group of men led by John Stephenson. In 1825, David Beatty and others founded the Beatty mill which became one of the largest in Kentucky. Other early businesses include a store and blacksmith shop on Main Street (now called Third Street) that operated from 1827 to 1830; and a sawmill on Mill Creek which was built in 1829. In 1830, James Fenton established an agricultural society that raised corn and other crops until 1861 when railroads arrived and changed everything. By 1870, there were sixty-eight businesses with 1,500 residents in Frankfort; but by 1880 only nine businesses remained with 300 residents while six had disappeared altogether. The decline began as railroad tracks were laid through the area making it difficult for farmers to get their products to market; however, some entrepreneurs such as Wm Covington revived the business practices along with new technologies such as refrigeration which helped revive manufacturing after World War II ended production at many mills around the country including those in Frankfort In 1951, an ordinance was passed prohibiting racial discrimination within any business or public accommodation entity within town limits On October 15th 1959 local resident Floyd Woodall killed four white students who were sitting on his porch playing checkers because he felt they were taking away his right to play football alongside his neighborhood children This event would spark off several days of violence throughout central Kentucky culminating with Woodall's execution two days later

One solution was to create guns that fired live rounds, which required a firing pin and hammer to be inserted into the breech of the gun. One company that attempted this approach was Colt Firearms Company. They produced what is known as the Model 1851 American Rifle, which used a mechanism called an "internal combustion engine" to fire cartridges instead of Live Rounds. This particular product failed because it could not be made affordable enough for widespread use by police officers and others who needed them for protection.
