These soldiers needed something to store their weapons securely while on leave and also when they returned home at night(). When it came time for these soldiers to return home, they would need to take back all their belongings with them including their rifles! It was not possible for them to keep all their weaponry with them when they went off on military campaigns so they turned togunpouch manufacturers() to help make sure these patriotic americans had enough storage space when they got home (). Elizabethtown is a small town in Johnson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,032 at the 2010 census. Elizabethtown is the only incorporated community in Johnson County. It was founded by parents of Methodist missionaries who were moving from London, England to establish a church in what is now eastern Kentucky in the 1830s. Elizabethtown grew quickly and by 1840 had a school, store, and 400 people. By 1852, the population had grown to 3,500 and by 1860 it had reached 10,000. In 1876 the town voted to become an independent city and has since been its own municipality with its own government and police department. The first settler in Elizabethtown was John Ladd who arrived on horseback from London on July 12th of that year. He owned one acre (0.40 km²) of land and built his sawmill on the river which he named "Ladd's Mill". By 1847 there were four other settlers living in Elizabethtown: Daniel Blythe (a farmer), James Treadaway (a blacksmith), Ebenezer Craddock (a sharecropper), and Thomas Ritchie (an artilleryman). In 1848 three more settlers arrived: John Sayers (a lawyer), Isaac Morehead (a surveyor), and Andrew McNaughtney (an artist). On December 16th of that year two men named Cope came down into town on their wagon full of corn they had bought from a farmer named Hawkins for $5 worth of goods plus$2 each for transportation costs; they asked for permission to sell food they brought back with them to their meeting house which Mr. Hinton granted them permission to do so at 5 P M that day In 1850 there were twelve families living in Elizabethtown: six white people, six black people

Elizabethtown is a small town located in the center of Kentucky, about 30 miles from Louisville. The town was founded in 1811 by General Nathaniel Banks and his wife, Elizabeth. The first post office was established in 1814. Elizabethtown was named for Elizabeth, the general's wife. In 1851, the population of Elizabethtown had declined to 50 people, but it increased to 100 people when the railroad arrived. The population decreased again in 1960, but has since grown again. The primary industry in Elizabethtown is agriculture, with crops such as corn, beans, and hay production accounting for most of the village's income.Elizabethtown has a rich history that reflects its location on both sides of the Ohio River. Many of these stories can be found on local tourist brochures or at historical museums throughout Kentucky and Indiana.The original settlers werent Englishmen; they were Scots-Irish immigrants who had fled Ireland during the American Revolution (1775-83). When Kentucky became part of the United States after independence was declared in 1776, many of these Irish immigrants decided to stay and start a new life in what would become known as Kentucky (the land between Ohio and Missouri east of the Mississippi River). One group settled near present day Elizabethtown while another group moved downriver to what is now Lebanonburg (now Paducah). Both groups were successful farmers who built homes and businesses around their respective farming villages (see map below). Soon enough there were also other Scottish-Irish families living nearby as well - some coming overland from Scotland direct while others took boats upriver until they reached Kentucky’s fertile soil. By 1800 there were more than 1,000 Irish Catholics living in central and eastern Kentucky – more than any other ethnic group! Hungarian refugees also landed here during this time period and quickly assimilated into society; however their descendants continue to live primarily in western KY today (See 'Hungarian Immigrants' heading further down this page for more information.).In 1811 General Banks met Colonel James Robertson at an event commemorating victory over Native Americans at Fallen Timbers Court House outside Cincinnati.(This event is sometimes mistakenly referred to as "the Battle of Fallen Timbers", which actually occurred three days earlier on October 12th.) Colonel Robertson had been sent by President George Washington with orders to take possession of all Indian Territory northward along the forks ofthe Ohio River including present day Elizabethtown-(See Map Below)General Banks saw this opportunity to settle an old military engagement that he felt could be used as a marketing opportunity for his new colony.- He offered $300 per acre for land - which amounted to $30 million today! When Robertsons offer was accepted he set out with about seventy men searching through fields for suitable sites.(Many subsequent communities were developed around rivers or major road intersections such as those mentioned above; see map below)After finding several promising locations across six miles wide radius from where he stood his forces began construction on what would eventually become known as “Banksville”(See Map Below)). Work started onJanuary 8th,, 1781 under commandof Major John Covington( See map ). After four months work having only completed one third OF THE WORK GIVEN HIM BY ROBERTSON!
