The history of gun magazines in Elizabethtown, Kentucky dates back to the 1800s. The first gun magazine in the town was a store called “The Gunsmith’s Shop” on Elm Street. It was opened in 1819 by Elisha Holmes. The store became known for its high-quality firearms, and it was one of the first businesses in town to offer sales tax on guns. In 1833, John Fenton opened a second gun magazine, called the Riflemen’s Armory. This new magazine was located on Elm Street next to the First Baptist Church. Fenton offered free ammunition to members of his club, and he also donated use of his building for storage and shooting contests. The Riflemen’s Armory remained open until 1865, when it closed down due to financial problems. In 1867, Jno Pritchard opened a third gun magazine called the Pistolero’s Arms Depot on Market Street. This new magazine offered low-cost pistols and rifles to members of its club. Pritchard also donated space for storage and shooting contests at his depot. In 1875, Augustus Smedley opened a fourth gun magazine called the Sporting Arms Depot on Market Street. This new journal offered handguns and shotguns for sale to members of its club. Smedley also donated space for storage and shooting contests at his depot. By 1903, all fourgun magazines had been closed down due to lack of business or competition from other stores in Elizabethtown (the only other town in KY with this type of ammo). However, they continued to be used as local dumps until 1978 when they were completely destroyed by firestorm that burned everything within 100 miles radius!

To meet this demand, beginning in 1916 American Arms Company began producing drums ofinitially 5-rounds-capacity but eventually expanded it up to 10 rounders for their .30 caliber machine guns and 7 rounders for their enormous Gatling Gun. This led directly to World War II when US arms manufacturers turned their attention towards wartime production rather than peacetime sales and started marketing large capacity magazines called "bullet belts". These bullet belts quickly became one of America's most popular weapons due to their ease of use and ability store large amounts of ammunition at once without having any problems with jamming or failure

The first magazine was a small, two-shot, reloadable weapon called the "Bowie" Rifle Magazine. In 1860, Colonel James A. Fields of Elizabethtown organized the Elizabethtown Rifle and Pistol Club and began printing stationary pistol magazines with a variety of guns. By 1865, there were at least 21 pistol magazines inElizabethtown alone. By 1870, the population of Elizabethtown had increased to over 1,000 people and the demand for gun magazines continued to grow. Colonel George Ewing started publishing the "Kentucky Gazette" in 1871 which became one of the most popular gun journals in America during the late 19th century. In 1872, he founded the "National Review" which became one ofthe most influential periodicals during that time period. In 1898, General Ulysses S Grant helped found what is now known as NRA headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia while living near Washington D C.. From then until his death in 1924, NRA President Benjamin Franklin Butler was also assistant president of NRA from 1898-1920s
Elizabethtown is a small town in Pike County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Pike County. Elizabethtown is one of the oldest towns in Kentucky and was founded in 1786 by Colonel James Wilkinson. The town was named after Princess Elizabeth of Great Britain and her consort, Prince George Williams. The first post office in Elizabethtown was established on November 12, 1825 and served until it was discontinued on December 9, 1827. The present post office building was built in 1897 and has been used as a courthouse since 1951. The town has two schools: Elizabethtown High School and Hume Elementary School. There are also several businesses in the town including KFC, Papa John's Pizza, Subway, BB&T Bank & Trust Company, and Home Depot. In addition to its cultural attractions such as the Elizabethtown Museum of Art (opened in 1992), the town also offers a variety of recreational opportunities such as fishing, swimming, hiking/biking/skiing/snowboarding/, golfing/puzzle playing/, and Picnicking/.

In 1911, John Browning patented his invention called the Browning Hi-Power Rifle which allowed users to Loading/Unloading Pistols without having to remove each round from their pistol every time they wished to use it again (this feature is still available on modern rifles). With this invention, people were able to carry more rounds with them without fear of running out of ammunition too soon. This also led directly into later electric pistols like Glock 17 and Sig Sauer P226/P228/P229 series pistols where mag capacity became an important factor in function & design
The first magazines to be designed for the AR-15 were made in 1978 by Colt. The company continued to produce these magazines until 1997.
