Danville, Kentucky is a small town located in the eastern part of Ky., about 20 miles east of Louisville. It was founded in 1821 by Revolutionary War veteran and landowner Daniel Boone. Today, Danville is a thriving community with a rich history that has been deeply etched into the fabric of its people and culture. The town's namesake, Daniel Boone, made his home here in 1792 after spending many years living in Virginia. He was one of the most influential men in pre-revolutionary Kentucky and played an instrumental role in building the state's early infrastructure. Boone also helped to create what is now Danville's distinctive architectural style -a mix of Federalist architecture with elements of Greek Revival and Neoclassical designs. The town's success as a business center came about thanks to its location on the Great Miami River, which made it easy for settlers to trade goods and services across the river. In addition, Danville's close proximity to major transportation hubs like Louisville and Nashville allowed it to become one of the most important economic centers in eastern Kentucky during the 19th century. The late 19th century saw some significant changes for Danville residents though.ilt;During this time period, joblessness beganto increase throughout much of America as technological advances led to increased production floors within factoriesand other businesses beganto move fromthe countryside towards larger cities like New York City or Chicago. This migration had a major impact on rural communities such as Danville whereupon large numbers of farmers turned their homes into townships or boroughs whilesmaller populations continuedto live near their farmssteads unchanged over generations. ilt; This process often left behind villages with few if any physical remnants remaining from earlier phases of local life - something that can be seen firsthand at nearby Fayette County when visiting varioushistoric sites such as Fort Knox or Lebanon Ferry Landing). ilt;As these smaller communities disbanded their social lives they were forced increasingly to compete for limited resources against larger cities like Louisville which had become more prosperous due to factors such as world wars I (WWI) II (Sputnik), oil spills (1948), etcetera . ilt;In response to these challenges, many residents beganto promote themselves as "center comers" who could provide leadership and stability within their respective towns before moving on into new opportunities elsewhere . lt;This identification with "the middle class" played an important rolein shaping public opinion about hilltowns throughout Appalachia during this time period- particularly those located around major metropolitan areas like Cincinnati or Pittsburgh . Many residents believed that city life was no longer possible for them because they could not offer good jobs or quality schools while still living close enough to enjoy all that central Ohio had to offer without havingTo leave their homes simply because they could no longer afford it becameincreasingly common among these poorer members of society."

The town of Danville was founded in 1792 by Daniel Boone and his family. The first post office in the town was established in 1813. In 1829, the town was named for General James H. Danville, who commanded American forces during the Mexican-American War.
