Danville is a small town in western Kentucky and home to the Danville Gun Mags, one of the oldest gun mags in America. The Danville Gun Mags was founded by local residents in 1892 and today remains a family-owned business. The Gun Mags takes its name from General Daniel Boone, who fought against Native Americans and helped establish Kentucky as an American state. Today, the Danville Gun Mags features both traditional shooting practices like skeet Hunting and target shooting along with more modern methods such as video gaming, exercise equipment, and firearms training. In addition to its gun mag content, the GunMag also publishes several journals which focus on various firearm topics including hunting, self-defense, target shooting etc.

The Danville, Kentucky gun mags history began in the early 1800s. The first gun shop in Danville was established by John Hogg and his brother-in-law, James S. Addison. Theyowned a printing business and started printing handgun magazines in 1818. In 1824, they merged with the Louisville Gun Club to form the Louisville Gun Club & Magazine Company. The company prospered until it was sold to Samuel Colt in 1853.
Danville is a small town in northern Kentucky, located about 20 miles east of Bowling Green. The population was 3,311 at the 2000 census. Danville has a rich history that can be seen in its numerous churches, museums and businesses. The community was founded in 1811 by subscription to the Kentucky Resolution of 1796 which urged the state to annex adjacent Ohio Valley territory. The first white settler in Danville was James Hance who arrived in 1814 from Greencastle, Indiana. By 1830, there were more than 60 families living in Danville. In 1836, Daniel Boone moved his family from Hartford Township to what is now Danville and started a farm near the intersection of State Road 424 and State Road 624. He named the land "Boone's Run" after himself and his brother John Boone (1778-1849). In 1840, Daniel Boone applied for membership in the Methodist Church but was rejected because he did not have property nearby to build a church. He then started construction on what would become known as First Methodist Episcopal Church (now First United Presbyterian Church). The congregation met outside of their original home for the first time on October 6th, 1840. The first sermon preached by Rev. John Aiken was also preached here on October 6th 1840. Reverend Aiken served as pastor of First Methodist Episcopal Church until his death on February 14th 1865 when Revs John Sargent (1812-1875) and Hiram Wofford (1820-1902) took over at that church respectively On April 25th 1850, Revs James Fenton Clarke (1830-1901), Samuel Dillard Dillard (1835-1927), Ebenezer Vanderbilt Drake (1839-1925) and Charles Seward Morse (1841-1920) organized into The Methodist Episcopal Sunday School Board which became known as "The Old Main Street Sunday School Board." This organization helped start schools throughout southern Kentucky including Danville where Dr James Whitehead taught from 1854 until his death in 1902 . In 1861 when Union troops burned everything within five miles of Louisville during the American Civil War it caused great economic distress for many towns along the Confederate side such as Danville which lost much business . However due to some aggressive marketing by local merchants such as J C Dearborn all efforts were quickly replaced with new production facilities within days without any loss of jobs or material

Danville is located in the state of Kentucky and has been inhabited for over a hundred years. The town was founded by two brothers, Nathaniel and George Danville. The first settlement in what is now Danville was called Meadowvale. This name was given to the location because of the many meadow trees that were found there. In 1812, the town was platted out and named Danville after Captain Daniel Van Buren, who had fought in the War of 1812. The population of Danville grew rapidly during the early 1800s due to its location on top of a hill near the Ohio River. By 1825, it had reached 1,500 people. At this time, it was one of the most important towns in Kentucky because it lay at the crossroads between several counties and because it served as an transportation hub for goods moving through these counties. The growth of other nearby settlements also helped spur development within Danville. By 1830, there were six stores, 12 houses, and three churches in town. By 1840, however, all but two of these businesses had closed due to lack of customers or competition from larger rivals. However, thanks to efforts by local officials such as Mayor John Lennon and Trustee James Aiken Sr.,Danville slowly regained its former prosperity during the 1850s and 1860s despite periodic downturns in trade throughout central Kentucky due to factors such as war with Mexico and natural disasters such as devastating thunderstorms that struck central Kentucky frequently during this time period. In fact, by 1870 Danville boasted 15 businesses including seven banks; two schools; four churches; three publicans; five farmers; four blacksmiths; one miller; one shoemaker; one wagon maker; one store keeper/weaver/spinner/filler (John Lennon); one doctor (James Aiken Sr.) In 1862 General Ulysses S Grant arrived in America following his successful campaigns against Confederate forces across Southern Ireland and he soon made his way to America where he began looking for new land to settle after completing his military service campaign in Europe. After being impressed by danVILLE's progress since he last visited it some twenty years earlier while campaigning against slavery inside VirginiaHe offered $10 million dollars for 3% interest on federal lands westward from Missouri River which would include danVILLE if approvedThe offer caught fire among many Americans who saw opportunity on offer at a time when numerous Civil War battlefields still remained un touched by civilization having long ago become ghost towns abandoned due to concerns about unexploded artillery shells & mines etc.. Danville was founded by Kentucky pioneers in 1802. The town grew rapidly after the opening of the Cumberland River Railroad in 1828, and soon became a major transportation center for the region. In 1870, Danville became the county seat of Clark County, and continued to grow until it reached its current size in 1930. The city has since played a role in rural local life and commerce, and remains an important cultural and commercial center for the area.
