Danville is a small town in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 1,824 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Louisville metropolitan area. The town was founded by George Danville in 1810 as Danville Station on the Virginia and Kentucky Railroad. The first post office was established in 1811. In 1827, the post Office moved to its current location and became known as Danville. The name came from General Washington's visit to Danville in 1792. The town was incorporated as a city on July 8, 1907. On February 14, 1912, it passed an ordinance adopting a charter for the School District No. 2 which included all of present-day Jefferson County and most of what is now eastern Putnam County including parts of Georgetown and Clarksburg counties In 1916, General Motors began production at their new factory located off I-64 near Owensboro. This increased economic activity within the city limits which led to more people moving into the city and creating more jobs for locals who had been working there before that time
There have been many different types of firearms that have been used in chokes. Many times, these firearms were developed to use a certain type of choke. The different types of choke allow for the user to obtain a tighter and more controlled air pressure on the barrel. This allows for better accuracy when shooting, and it also creates a less dangerous atmosphere in the firearm. The first type of choke was developed by Dr. John Browning in 1892. This choke was called the “Reef-Grip” design, and it consisted of two metal plates that met at one end. When this muzzle device was tightened against the barrel, it created an airtight seal between the plates. This allowed for better control over airflow on the barrel, which gave shooters a tighter group size when firing at close ranges. The next choking system to be developed was called the “Percussive” style choke. It consisted of four metal plates that met at one end. When these plates were forced together, they created an obstruction between the barrels. This kept unwanted gas from entering into the firearm, which helped create a harsher recoil experience for users.[1] In 1949,Dragan Djurkovski designed another type of muzzle device known as the “Dome-Grip” choke .This choke consisted of four metal disks that met at one end instead of twoplates like the earlier designs[2]. Because this muzzle device had such a large diameter compared to other firearms, it required more force to tighten against Barrel than traditional methods did[3]. Because Dragan Djurkovski's Dome-Grip choked firearm offered such great performance and accuracy even with low pressures (around 12 pounds per square inch), its popularity led him to develop his own version in 1959 known asthe “Djurkovski Modular Pistol Choke”[4]. This modification featured a redesigned grip handle that made tightening against Barrel much easier than before[5], as well as new baffles on both ends of each disk which improved air flow around both cylinders[6]. With all these different types of chokes being developed and used over time, there has never been any one " optimum" type or configuration for every firearms enthusiast out there! In 1829, President Andrew Johnson issued an Executive Order designating Danville as the site for what would eventually become the University of Louisville. In 1924, businessman Harry Black started production at his new company Black Brothers Paper Mill on Main Street in Danville. The mill continues to operate today as part of Cardinal Health Incorporated. In 1951, Mayor John Wetherbee submitted legislation to rename the town "Danville" in honor of Admiral Chester Nimitz who had served as president during World War II and later played an important role in developing America's nuclear weapons program. The bill passed unanimously and was signed by Governor Cecil Blythe Jr..

In 1849, the townspeople voted to annex the neighboring community of Uniontown. This annexation provided new jobs for Danville residents and made it easier for them to get food and goods from their local suppliers. In 1863, the United States Army constructed a military fort inDanville which served as a base of operations during the American Civil War. The fort continued to be used until 1865 when it was abandoned. By 1870, Danville had reached its peak population size with over 1,000 people living in buildings that stretched along both sides of Main Street. Since then, the city has undergone several phases of growth including an economic recession that led to a decline in population in the early 21st century; however, recent revitalization efforts have helped preserve some of the town's historic features.
