After becoming part of Missouri on February 14th 1861 , many Chiefs such as Chief White Bird surrendered all capability or power unto United States Government according to act 3 §2 USMA & ceded land eastward within Grahams Creek/Tombstone River Valley thence south along present day Wabasha Avenue through present day Ogle County into Clay County where it joins Clear Creek thence southwest into Potter County & finally into Taney Counties
