However, over time they have become more popular among shooters due to their convenience and ease of use when compared to other firearms techniques

Prairie, Kansas is a small town in Douglas County, Kansas, United States. The population was 1,898 at the 2010 census. Prairie is located on the South Side of the city of Wichita. It was founded in 1873 by John C. Fremont and his family as the town of Fordyce. The name of the community is taken from General George Armstrong Custer's battle against Sioux Indians at Big Horn Hill near present day Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 1885. Prairie has been home to many businesses and families since its establishment. One early resident, Mrs. John C. Fremont, became an important figure in Kansas politics and business leaders such as her husband served in both houses of the state legislature from 1907 until their death in 1912. Many of Prairie's residents also played significant roles during World War I and II including William Henson who helped develop Wichita into one of America's leading cities after the war ended; Willa Backman who founded Wichita State University; and Lillie Jewett who served as mayor for seventeen years before she died aged ninety-eight in 1998. In recent decades Prairie has experienced growth due to its location within easy commuting distance of Wichita and its numerous cultural attractions such as Western art museums and theaters, multiplex cinemas, malls & restaurants, professional wrestling matches taking place at Isley Field Municipal Airport (KSAW), African American churches serving as places where people can gather for services or events during Lent or Holy Week; wineries producing red wine (Château Lavigne) & white wines (Lodge Vineyards); golf courses popular with locals & visitors alike; various parks & playgrounds across which children may play while parents enjoy views from atop Lookout Mountain; several dozen convenience stores which have sprung up around town since it became a " municipality" with limits on how much development they may engage in. Today’s Prairie has come through hard times but retains many elements that make it unique – like its wide variety of grocery stores - which continue to thrive despite competition from larger towns nearby.
