In 1881, Parsons was one of the first towns in Kansas to pass a gun control ordinance. The measure read, "No person shall possess any firearm within this town." The ban quickly became popular among local gun owners, who felt that it protected their rights and property. Gun control ordinances like this were common in Kansas during the early 1800s. They were meant to protect citizens from dangerous individuals or groups who might try to take advantage of the new society by acquiring firearms without proper documentation or through other illegal means. In 1903, the United States Patent and Trademark Office granted patent number 727,471 to John C. Simon for his design of the "Simon Pump-Action Pistol." This pistol was used by American forces during World War I. In 1927, Wichita Arms Manufacturing Company began producing pistols in Parsons under the name Wichita Security Products. The handguns produced at Wichita Arms were called the "Wichita Model 327". These guns featured an 8-inch barrel and had a three-round magazine.
Parsons, Kansas is a small town in Hunt County, Kansas, United States. The population was 914 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita metropolitan area. The name originated from James Parsons, who settled there in 1857. The first settler in Parsons was John Prentice in 1857. The town was platted on November 12, 1865 by J.D. Drake and Wm. Ladd as Parsons City Limits with a population of 10 residents. The Post Office opened in 1886 with a population of 2 residents and remained open until it closed on July 1, 1907 with a total population of 8 residents; the first postmaster was Wm Hartsfield (1846-1907). Famed basketball coach Rick Majerus attended Parsons High School here from 1969 to 1984 before transferring to Wichita State University where he coached for thirteen years (1984-94). He also served as an assistant coach at Wichita for one season (1995) under head coach Rick Majerus' father and mentor Rick Majerus Sr.. In his final year at Wichita State, he led the Shockers to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance after being seeded fourth seed in the Midwest Regionals but lost to eventual champion North Carolina 87-72 during tournament play. In early 2018, Majerus announced his retirement from coaching effective June 30th after 13 seasons with the Shockers including nine NCAA tournament appearances and two Elite Eight appearances. He will continue to serve as an assistant coach through 2020 at Wichita State University. James Aiken played collegiately at Purdue University (1978-1981) before transferring to Kansas State University where he would go on to achieve great things playing football for KSU’s Wildcats“Purdue Athletics: Star Player Hall of Fame Head Coach Rick Majerus Retires After 13 Seasons With Wildcats”. When KSU hired Mike Leach as their new head coach following Majerus' retirement they decided not only did they want him back but Aiken too! So much for that “one man’s opinion couldn’t make an impact” excuse… Leach named Aiken interim head coach upon hiring day and Askin resigned less than 24 hours later due to health concerns about another player.< ref="/purdue athletics/" />

Striker/Breechblock: The striker/breechblock together forms what is known as an AR15 style pistol grip stock (GSS). This part comes in two varieties: open sights (OI) or closed sights (CZ). Open sights allow users see where they are aiming while closed eyes help conserve sight picture when firing without magnification devices like scopes or binoculars. Striker/breechblocks also come in different types such as gas operated models and electric powered models depending on how much power each model has at its disposal when firing rounds. Gas operated strikers require gas not electricity to function whereas electric strikers rely on batteries or AC power only

Parsons Jr., who had died less than a year earlier.
