By 1900, they had discovered that galaxies existed beyond Earth and that there is evidence for intelligent life elsewhere in space! However, it was not until 1916 that German astronomer Karl Schwarzschild finally achieved true photographicastronomy with his discoveryof Planetary Nebulae! With this new technology*, astronomers were able to image every planet* within reach* including those present on other planets* as well as comet tails and asteroid belts*.
