Manhattan, Kansas is the most populous city in the state of Kansas and is located in Dodge County. The population of the city was 1,635 at the 2010 census. In 1854, a group of settlers from Illinois arrived in Dodge County and began developing land east of present day downtown Manhattan for a rancho known as Buena Vista Rancho de Santa Fe de la Raza or BV Rancho de las Vegas de Petosi (now part of Wichita). On July 15, 1855, they founded what would become Wichita Falls with a meeting held at First Presbyterian Church on Main Street between Second and Third Streets. At that time there were only two small settlements within Dodge County - Hutchinson and El Dorado - so progress had to be made quickly if settlers were going to succeed in establishing themselves permanently in this new location. For many years thereafter their leaders met annually at Wichita Falls Convention Center on US-40 just south of I-70 on Haskell Avenue to plot various aspects of their enterprise including cattle marketing, irrigation systems and other agricultural ventures; however these meetings have since been discontinued because they are not likely to result in any tangible advances due largely to changing economic conditions." The first rifles were made with these new magazine designs in 1836 by Samuel Colt in America. These rifles were known as the "Colt Firearms". Ammunition for these guns was originally stored in horse-drawn vehicle barrels called "catchettes" or "ballistae". In 1865, Julius Caesar introduced a new type of artillery ammunition called shot putters that used revolving discs to load cartridges into their cases rather than roundworms like previous methods. This gave him an advantage against his opponents because he could shoot at a range longer than they could throw projectiles off the end of spears or arrows. By 1870, all artillery had adopt this type of ammunition and began using it instead of roundworms to improve accuracy and range

This pistol magazine was used by American soldiers during the Mexican-American War in order to carry extra rounds in case of an emergency.
