The Lenexa Rifle and Pistol Club (LRP) is a historical society in Lenexa, Kansas that operates the LRP Museum. The club was founded on July 5, 1903, when nine local men met to discuss forming a rifle and pistol club. They named the club after General John A. Logan's regiment known as the "Lenexa Rifles." In 1912, the LRP purchased land at Ninth and Main Streets in Lenexa for use as a range. In 1916, the LRP became involved with politics when officers of the Republican party boycotted their own county convention because they did not want to support candidates of the new Democratic party. The LRP supported local candidate Harry S. Truman while he was running for president against Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1948. The LRP also donated rifles to service contingents during World War II and Korean War efforts. In 1984, the LRP moved from its original location to its current location on Seventh Street East in town square across from First United Methodist Church in what was then called "Lenexa Heights". The museum includes exhibits about shooting history, firearms collection, reversible clothing items from various periods of American history, and memorabilia related to both NRA members and non-NRA individuals who have been affiliated with the organization over time.

Lenexa was founded on November 10, 1854 by Horace Greeley and his brother Amos Greeley as the new townsite for what would become Shawnee County.
