Bipedalism has been present in humans for as long as they have been able to walk. For example, during World War II, people who were not able to walk were required to use vehicles called “pantographs” which had large wheels that could be pushed or pulled by means of ropes and poles. As a result of annexations by other townships over time, Lenexa has an area now equal to or greater than its original plat boundaries totaling . According to The Wichita Eagle newspaper archives: "Lenexa’s growth has been primarily due to annexation by other townships since 1907." In 2002, Topeka voters passed an ordinance establishing Lennox Hills Elementary School District No. 375 within Lenexa limits as one option for providing educational services for low-income students living within city limits without access to charter or private schools
