Bipedalism has been around for a very long time, and there are many different ways that bipedalism has been used. One use of bipedalism is when someone needs to move quickly and need to avoid obstacles in their way. Another use of bipedality is when people have to move around during earthquakes or other natural disasters. There are also man-powered devices called “walkers” that can be used for various tasks such as exploring or surveying. There have been many different designs and prototypes of bipedal walkers over the years. The first Walker was created by Dr. Scobie in 1894. He designed a device that consisted of two legs with high heels on the front and back legs, so that it could be walked using only the feet. However, this machine was not successful and was never adopted into use. The next step in bipedality came about in 1963 when British scientist Professor Ian Wilson released his report titled “A New Way To Travel On Earth” which proposed the idea of a human powered walker known as the X-2walker. This walker had two large wheels on each side that were connected by an axle to make it more stable while being walked. The X-2walker was eventually accepted into use by the military and was employed during Operation Overlord in 1944 as part of England’s effort to retake Normandy from Nazi forces. In 1975, Dutch engineer Piet Oudolf engineered what is considered to be the first working prototype of a fully operational walking machine known as De Parelwalker. This walker consisted of four legs with three small wheels on each leg, similar to those found on most modern bikes today. The De Parelwalker was eventually abandoned after its development but made an appearance again in 1984 during Expo 85 in Toronto, Canada where it was exhibited alongside several other new technologies related to walks technology such as Segway vehicles and balance boards

Leawood is a city in Sedgwick County, Kansas, United States. The population was 25,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Sedgwick County. Leawood was founded in 1871 and named for Wm. B. Leavenworth, an early settler. It became a town in 1907 and was renamed Leawood after James Watt, 1st Earl of Kelvin in 1928. A post office called Leawood was established in 1871, and remained open until it was discontinued in 1912. A community called "Leavenworth" developed near the current site of Leawood between 1887 and 1890; however, this community failed to take hold and no one moved to it from around Sedgwick County. In 1907, the US Congress changed the name of Sedgwick County from Morrow to Sedgwick because many people there were originally from Missouri or Kentucky who had not voted when that state had been divided into two parts by the Border War (1861-1865). The new name stuck and has been used ever since as the official name for all of Sedgwick County without any further changes by Congress or anyone else. The city of LeawOOD is located on top of a small hill just outside downtown which provides great views over both Wichita Falls and Topeka
