Bipedalism has been present in all aspects of human life for centuries and throughout the world. In the United States, the first bipedal humans were known to exist in North America about 15,000 years ago. The first evidence of bipedalism in Europe is from around 10,000 BC. Bipedalism spread throughout much of Eurasia before becoming a common practice in North America. It was there that people began to use two legs as their primary form of locomotion. In contrast to Europeans who continued to walk on fours until the 17th century, American Indians soon abandoned bipedality and transitioned into a more developed species characterized by two-legged movement. As technology improved and other forms of locomotion became available, people began to experiments with bipedality again. In 1868, Russian scientist Ivan Pribylin successfully crossed an animal with two legs using an implement called a torsion bar lever. This demonstrated that animals could be crossed without having to rely on three limbs and showed that bipedality was not a natural characteristic of all animals. This event helped popularize the theory that humans had evolved from some other type of intelligent creature which used two legs for locomotion. Over time, research into human evolution has shown that humans are uniquely capable of evolving beyond our traditional modes of locomotion. Numerous studies have shown that we are able to move through space using tools and technologies which previously seemed impossible for us- such as prosthetic devices which allow us to use both hands or feet while walking or flying

Leavenworth is a small town in the U.S. state of Kansas, located on the banks of the Leavenworth River. The population was 9,421 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Wichita metropolitan area. A cattle and horse auction took place in Leavenworth on October 15-16, 1881 and was considered one of the largest gatherings of its kind in America at that time. Leavenworth was founded in 1867 by the father of its current Mayor, Harry Leavenworth. The town became amoderately prosperous in the late 1800s and early 1900s thanks to its location on the eastern edge of Kansas Territory, as well as its agricultural production. However, during World War I Leavenworth experienced significant damage from aerial bombardment. Despite this setback, the town continued to grow during the 1920s and 1930s as a result of new economic opportunities generated by federal government development projects such as the Leflore Dam and Wichita Project. However, during World War II Leavenworth again experienced significant damage from aerial bombardment, which caused many of its buildings to collapse. Today, Leavenworth is a small community with limited commercial activity and only a few modest housing developments. Its residents are largely self-sufficient and remain active in their local communities both inside and outside ofLeavenworth itself.
Leavenworth was a trading post on the Washita River in what is now Kansas. It was founded by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians in 1854. The post became a railroad town in 1887.
