They continued to produce high-quality firearms holsters until World War II when they shifted focus to making ammunition and explosives products. After the war, the company went into receivership and was sold in 1951 to A&P Foods. The business closed in 1957 and all assets were auctioned off. Today, only a single holster remains from The Western Holsters: a pistol grip belt holder used by John Wayne as part of his stunt routine at Sid Caesar's restaurant on movie set during filming of "The Lost Weekend".
