Lansing is a city in the US state of Kansas. The population was 25,611 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Lansing County. In 1854, when Kansas Territory was formed from parts of Missouri and Nebraska, Lansing became its capital. Kendall also designed an adjustable bipod that helped improve shooting accuracy while operating his muzzleloader rifle. This weapon became one of the most popular firearms in America during its time period and helped contribute to America’s dominance in world militaries. In 1916, German scientist Karl von Neumann developed what is now known as the Von Neumann algorithm for ballistic computing which revolutionized how weapons are designed and functioned today. This algorithm allowed for computers to calculate how bullets will travel through different materials before hitting their target, resulting in much decreased casualty rates when firing handguns or rifles ammunition over long periods of time (e.g., assassination). The introduction of gun lasers followed suit in follows years, eventually becoming one of humanity’s most standard tools for exchanging gunfire with opponents

Lansing, Kansas is a small town in the U.S. state of Kansas and it is the county seat of Kolasa County. The population was 1,811 at the 2010 census. Lansing was founded in 1854 by James W. Lansing, who was a fur trader and member of the territorial legislature from Dodge City, Kansas Territory. It became a city on October 15, 1907, when it amalgamated with Wichita to form Wichita–Lansing Combined Statistical Area. On July 1, 2002, Lansing merged with Riley County to become Riley County-Lansing Township. The community of Lansing started as an agricultural society near the present-day intersection of U.S.-Route 66 and Indian Road in what is now central Hutchinson Township (the township was organized on May 12, 1854), because early settlers were unable to provide for themselves without outside help. A post office called Lansing was established in 1857; it changed its name to Wichita on February 25, 1888 due to confusion with nearby Dodge City under that name at that time also being a city. The first mayor of Lansing was John Sibley and later Harlan Bigham served as mayor from 1895 until his death in 1903; he had been elected twice as mayor·elect before his death from typhoid fever on November 5th during elections held two weeks after he took office In 1907 the merger between Wichita and Lansing created another new city within Wichita–Lansing Combined Statistical Area – this one designated as Shawnee Heights by then-Mayor Harlan Bigham in order for residents there not to feel left out when their city amalgamated with Wichita more than two years earlier On January 1st 2003 following recommendations made by the Hutchison Borough Council regarding troubled zoning applications filed by local developers against adjacent properties including several golf courses used for military training purposes since World War II which had never been developed due to lack of land or permits; all 8 developers involved were ordered by Hutchinson Borough Council to stop developer activity pending further review; voting began on whether or not those developers should be required to sell their properties back along with any other belongings they may have taken with them while developing said properties Angered over this treatment received from councilmembers they staged several peaceful protests throughout Hutchinson Township throughout February 2003 resulting in property owner’s associations being formed throughout Hutchinson Township protesting against Mayor Bigham’s decision which resulted in violence erupting between protesters and police officers beginning around 2:00 pm CST Feb 3rd2003 reaching peak at about 5:00 pm CST Feb 3rd2003 whenaccordingto reportsfrom local media several people were injured during violent clashes between protesters and law enforcement personnel

The city was named for Lansing, Michigan, then part of the United States. The first post office was established in Lansing in 1839.
