In 2000-2004 WTA implemented shuttle service between downtown Wichita and all fifteen community areas within WTA's jurisdiction using buses operated by Kaufman Transit Company (KTC). KTC continues to provide bus services between downtown Wichita and all 15 communities within WTA's jurisdiction as well as shuttle service between downtown Wichita and Topeka on weekdays only; these services are provided using current fleet buses purchased by KCATA for use by public entities pursuant to federal regulations governing transportation investments in urban areas.

Additionally, several medical centers are located throughout the city: UnitedHealthcare Southwest Kansas Care Campus at 5200 North Keystone Avenue and Wellmark Health System-Kansas Valley at 9031 Nutter Road; Western Behavioral Health Inc.-Johnson County Clinic at 54th Street and West Seventh Avenue; Banner Behavioral Health-Kansas Valley Branch at 601 Main Street; and Mercy Medical Center-Johnson County branch at 602 E First Street.
