That same year also saw the opening of America's second post office in Topeka-Andover had already been called "Andover" by then! In 1860, one Mr. Fenton built the present day high school building on Bullock Road which served as both school and church until it burned down in 1954; however, an adjacent barn still stands today serving as a local museum about early American life in this area! During World War II almost all manufacturing left town for war production elsewhere but some businesses did stay open including Jardine Refrigerator & Equipment Company which manufactured ice cream until 1984; Bendix Corporation which manufactured planes until 1957; Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishers which published books until 1971; The Koury Family Circus which closed up shop late last year while they continue to provide amusements for locals through their company Koury Entertainment!
