Ammo has a long and convoluted history in Pella, Iowa. The first casings for artillery were probably fired in 1851 from a cannon on the corner of First and Sixth Streets. Ammunition was also used for hunting, but it was not until 1876 that ammunition became available for handguns in the city. In 1898, an L-shaped magazine with nine rounds per revolver was introduced into Omaha by Iver Johnson & Company. This innovation allowed handguns to be carried without fear of reloading time. In 1911, S&W pistols were brought to Pella by John Wesson company head Tom Smithson. Smithson decided that this new type of pistol should have its own cartridge, the .32 ACP caliber being developed specifically for Smithson’s pistols. The popularity of these pistols led Springfield Armory to introduce their own 9mm Luger caliber pistol in 1912 which soon replaced the .32 ACP as the city's primary handgun cartridge. In 1919, Ruger began manufacturing firearms in Pella and quickly became one of the most popular brands in town with its products offering features unavailable from other manufacturers including a hammerless design which revolutionized handgunnery and greatly increased accuracy when firing single shots at short ranges out to 25 yards or so (the first production Rugers were chambered for .22 LR). By 1927, revolver production had shifted entirely to autos with no need for additional rounds per revolver; however some continued to be produced with nine rounds per revolver just like Army surplus rifles until about 1930 when all production stopped due to NRA regulation against selling guns without ten rounds per chamber! The last gun manufacturer active in Pella before World War II was JHP Firearms Manufacturing Company who made revolvers using both standard 9mm Luger cartridges and their own 0F1H (.380 ACP) cartridge which proved quite successful even though they ceased operations after 1945 due to dwindling demand from law enforcement agencies across America (although some Remington 870 shotguns still use this cartridge today).

The original buildings in town were all built between 1870-1871 by local men who wanted to show off their new hometown to anyone they met. Some remain standing today such as the Masonic Hall which was built in 1871 and still stands; or the newer courthouse which was completed in 1912. Today, there are many businesses located in town including restaurants, stores, banks, medical facilities etc., making it an important center for trade within Iowa and across America. Additionally, Pella is home to several colleges/universities such as Drake University and Northern Illinois University - both located within walking distance of each other.

Pella, Iowa is a small town in Polk County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,812 at the 2000 census. At one time it was the county seat of Polk County. Pella is located on the Mississippi River and boredom and industry have caused the town's only industry to be agriculture. The first inhabitants of Pella were French Canadians who came via the Missouri River for fur trading in what is now southern Minnesota in 1753-54. They named their new community after Pieter Polaender (1634-1715), an officer with Fort Snelling Expedition under Governor David Logan during the Seven Years' War. In 1836, Pella became an incorporated village when it was chosen as the county seat of Polk County by a vote of its citizens. The name of Pella may be derived from "Pieter Pelle," a Dutch trader who had journeyed overland to Des Moines River Valley in 1693 and established a trading post there about 1800. In 1851, part of present day Polk County was ceded to Scott County which then organized as a separate region within Iowa Territory. When Scott County became fully organized as a county in 1856, Pella remained its capital until that year's consolidation of all counties intoIowa’s general government; however, no changes happened to its municipal status until 1907 when cityhood was granted to it by act of the Iowa Legislature following incorporation into local government pursuant to Act No. 281 (1887). When Scott County merged with Johnson Township on November 3rd 1913 so that Johnson Township would become an official “city” within Iowaconnection - this also changed effective date for incorporation from December 2nd 1906 thru December 3rd 1909 - thereby ending sixty years without City rights being granted unto any municipality within Iowanation other than those already having them under State law at that time! The first post office opened at Pella on October 16th 1865; however mail service between Stroudsburg and Sioux City ceased due to Indian Wars just prior thereto so letters were delivered through Burlington instead which continued until 1901 when BurlingtonPost introduced express delivery services between Stroudsburg and Sioux City providing better transportation options unavailable before then such as wagon trains conveying goods upriver bound for Omaha! With countless innovations during this time including electric streetlights installed during 1920s & 1930s while still using gas lamps - electricity becoming more available but creating environmental concerns (& streetlights turning off automatically due to lack thereof) [-#-]& henceforth Detroit Edison began purchasing current/alternative energy sources directly notifying customers approximately 55 days ahead or whenever generating power failed leaving cities/towns with little notice necessary leading some people even going as far as refusing service if they received notification too late [-#-] various attempts have been made since then by various organizations & individuals both inside & outside Iowanation unsuccessfully trying again or succeeding in obtaining property tax abatements from various municipalities allowing lighted streets momentarily becoming unlit again [-#-] finally on July 1st 2016 an agreement was reached by Mayor Pro Tem Dave Kipperman & Commissioners Darlene Weatherly & Jeffery Hickey wherebyupon4 sets of city lights will remain operational nightly thru September 8th each year instead currently every nightlight turns off once sun sets
