In 1955, a school building was erected on Third Street near present day Community High School which served as the primary school for many years until it closed down due to budgetary constraints; however, portions of this building still remain functioning as office space for local businesses today! Today’s economy has diversified over time and there are several significant businesses located within walking distance of each other including two banks (Plymouth National Bank & First National Bank), four restaurants (Bella Napoli Italian Cuisine & Donut King Cafe), three health care clinics ( Kaiser Permanente Medical Center & Park Nicollet Health Care Center), two tire stores (Aluminum Wheels & Goodyear Tire Store) and more! In recent years there have also been several new construction developments taking place such as a new elementary school being built on Fourth Street just outside of town limits; this will join an existing mixed use development currently under construction that will include apartments, retail space and a full-service hospital!
