In 1923, NRA member Olin Stephens donated a shirt design to the North Liberty Sheriff’s department. This shirt depicted an American sheriff with his revolver drawn and holding an apple branch in one hand while looking out at aruits trees in front of his home. The sheriff was stood on a high platform wearing a blue blazer and white pants with red stripes running down each side. His name was written above the apple branch. The shirt is currently on display at the museum in North Liberty. In 1934, NRA member Johnnie Cochran designed and printed “The Right Way to Shoot: A Model citizen guide for Pistol & Shotgunowners” which became extremely popular among gun owners across America. This book was designed as an instruction manual on proper handgun handling and shot placement while hunting or target shooting. It also featured color plates depicting various types of targets including pistols, shotguns, rifles, deer racks, horse saddles, etc., making it easy for readers to learn how to shoot safely at all types of events! Today this book remains one of the most popular firearm instructional materials available! In 1968, NRA member Lonnie Daydon donated designs for shirts featuring North Liberty firefighters fighting fires using their fire engines as weapons! North Liberty, Iowa is a small town in south-central Iowa. The population was 993 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Des Moines–West Des Moines–South Bend, IA Metropolitan Statistical Area. North Liberty is located on the west side of the Mississippi River and has a downtown area that includes a library, post office, and several businesses. North Liberty was founded in 1855 by Judge George Washington Morrison and his family. The first settler in what is now North Liberty was John Rodgers who came overland from Illinois in 1851. He built a cabin near present day North Liberty on the banks of the river. Other early settlers were James Fenton, Elijah McFarlane, and Isaac Briggs. In 1857, Judge George Washington Morrison arrived with his family from Michigan to start a new life in southern Iowa Territory after purchasing land from the government for $1 per acre. After being elected as justice of the peace for South Sioux City County in 1856, Morrison decided to move to central Iowa because he saw an opportunity to improve education opportunities for local people and create economic development around what he thought would be an important junction on Route 66 between Chicago and Rockford (now Rockford). Morrison's purchase of 422 acres (158 hectares) at what is now north-eastern corner of First Street/Iowa Avenue NW made him one of only two men ever to own property east of Interstate 80 within Polk County limits at that time – also including Burlington Township along I-80 Spur to its south tip just outside Dubuque (then called Davenport). This unique position allowed Morrison more control over education and economic development than any other individual during that time period; it also helped him become known as "the father of north liberty". The following year, Morrison established himself as a farmer with six cows plus three horses Cuomo which he milked daily from his farmstead until 1865 when he became too old or ill to do so; however, his legacy lives on through numerous descendants who stillmilk cows today from their ancestors' original farmsteads near present day North Liberty East High School across First Street from where they grew up playing cowboys & Indians during summer recess! Numerous stores opened up around town due largely to railroad traffic: The Merchants Exchange (#5), Packing House #2 (later Peoples Mercantile Co.), Wagon Wheel Cafe (& later Refreshment shack), Hardware Store #3 (later J&R Hardware), Livery stable #4 & 5 (later Drake Hotel), Mrs Haggerty's grocery store & bakery (& later Mrs Haggerty's Market Place), etc.; these businesses thrived due not only to passenger rail traffic but also demand by farmersexport goods such as flour, bacon, eggs, meat products etc., brought down by low commodity prices caused by recession conditions throughout much of America during this time period! In 1886 an addition house was moved onto lot number 4 which included barns & outbuildings used by residents wargs froding herds during wintertime when necessary; this house served as Headquarters for numerous social events including dances given outdoors every Saturday night followed by ice cream parlors afterwards! In 1902 another addition house(s) were added onto lot number 6 - this time including 3 large classrooms/craft rooms used principally for schoolchildren’s homework sessions following Sunday morning church services!! Today many residents know both lots numbers 4 & 6 simply as “NorthLiberty”!!! These days nearly all activities taking place within walking distance or less take place inside one or more recent additions located on either side Of Main Street adjacent To Drake Hotel!!!

To meet this challenge, North Liberty developed a system of canals which allowed for easy transportation of goods between town and downstream markets. In 1881, North Liberty incorporation as a city following years of growth and development within its walls . Despite being small at first (only 2 square miles), over time this developing city achieved tremendous success in terms of economic status and political power withinIowa society .Throughout its centuries-long history, NorthLiberty has been an important cultural centre for both locals and tourists alike; playing host to many notable events including baseball games with Chicago Cubs players or classical music concerts given by renowned orchestras .Today much remains unchanged from what made these towns such prosperous communities: despite constantly changing landscape , people remain friendly & welcoming ; businesses continue thriving even in difficult times ----- For all that has transpired since these early days - from tiny traders trading goods along the banks of the Missouri River totoday’s thriving cityscape - it is clear thatNorthLiberty’s story is not yet done
The first settler in North Liberty was William Fenton who arrived in 1836. The town was established about 1840 and named for Captain John Noble of the brigantine "North Liberty." The first store was built on the banks of the Des Moines River. In 1851, North Liberty became a post office with a population of 20. In 1859, it became a city and was renamed after Iowa's capital, Iowa City. By 1870, North Liberty had a population of 350 people and was considered to be one of the most important towns in the state.
