From 1938 to 1945, there was no real activity taking place with the town’s focus being on World War II military activity. 1946-1948 saw sometarget Shooting events take place but these stopped when all of the guns went missing from the range after it was raided by the police. 1949-1951 saw a new rifle range open up and started using targets for shoots again as well as other activities like traphooting and skeethooting. 1952-1959 saw no real changes happening with the gun ranges or Target Holder operations within town except that they slowly disbanded because of lack of interest from members or support from municipalities around Marshalltown. 1960saw both Rifle ranges reopen due to population growth but only used for Trap Shooting events which continued until 1977 when both ranges closed again due to low membership numbers once again. 1978-1982 saw another Target Holder operation open up called “The Range” which is still active today providing target shooting opportunities for those interested in learning about this type of shooting sport even though membership is not currently being offered either online or through traditional print publication methods like email etcetera

Marshalltown is a city in Marshall County, Iowa, United States. The population was 3,724 at the 2010 census. It was founded by General George Armstrong Custer in 1856. The first post office in Marshalltown was established on December 12, 1856. The townspeople built the first store and mill on the Missouri River. The town grew rapidly and by 1860 had over 1,000 residents. In 1865, the Union Pacific Railroad reached Marshalltown from Omaha and began construction of its line to Council Bluffs via what is now Marshalltown. As Union Pacific increased traffic through the community, business owners decided to build a new mill on the river for flour processing instead of continuing to use an older one that could not handle more than a small amount of flour per day. By 1870, milling operations were complete and Marshallstown had become an important center for trade with surrounding settlements as well as Omaha. During World War II, Marshaltown played an important role in the war effort as it became known as "the factory town" due to its production of military equipment such as tanks and planes. During peacetime however, many factories closed or moved away after various technological advancements made manufacturing much more difficult or expensive than it had been during World War II without any corresponding decrease in jobs or housing opportunities for workers outside of Marshaltown itself (which continued to be unrestricted). However some companies did move back intoMarshalltown during this time such as Alcoa which reopened their old steel-making plant after being idle for several years; Hormel Foods reopened their meatpacking plants; Monsanto returned after moving out of downtown Omaha; Hewlett-Packard opened their main campus near downtown Marshfield; Sears vacated downtown Marshfield but kept their main offices there until they moved out completely in 1997; Radio Shack also abandoned downtown Marshfield shortly before they relocated to Killeen TX.;[1] local businesses have since started up around terminals situated throughout town providing services like storage space for goods awaiting transport/processing into larger markets like Sioux City or Burlington Iowa when needed while still keeping most inventory inside of their buildings while customers visit them outside of business hours.[2][3][4] Although all those companies left behind significant scars on the cityscape - such as vacant storefronts and tight streets - much has changed since then including resurgent growth in nearby Amesburg which takes place within 5 miles (8 km) of Marshalltown proper while still maintaining its Bohemian atmosphere despite recent suburbanization efforts by Amesburg's mayor - who unsuccessfully ran against Mayor Custer for re-election two years ago - having doubled his job size from less than 10 employees six years prior.[5][6] Today'sMarshallstown is one significant example of how open ended economic development can lead to creative destruction though multiple waves of immigrants arriving over generations often result in changes that are unanticipated or unwanted once established patterns have been setter largely unchanged (euphemistically referred to herein as "urban sprawl").
