It didn’t take long for adverse reactions from users to become apparent; within just a few months, reports began flowing in of people becoming zapped without warning or notice! In response to these incidents, Browning quickly redesigned their weapon – this time adding an off switch on the handle so that users could deactivate it if they felt too threatened or violent while wielding it. 3. By 1990, tasers had spread throughout the United States and were being used by law enforcement officers both in public places and inside prisons (where they were popularly known as “shock guns”). Marion is a small town in Iowa that is home to over 1,000 people. The town was founded in 1855 and has been the seat of government for Marion County since 1869. The town was named after General Andrew Marcy, who fought in the American Civil War. The general was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg and his unit was also named the “Marionettes” after their victory. Marion is located on State Highway 2 east of Cedar Rapids and lies within Iowa’s Clark County. The history of Marion begins with its founder, General Andrew Marcy. He fought in the American Civil War and died at the Battle of Gettysburg while leading an army organized by General Ulysses S. Grant. His unit, the “Marionettes”, were also victorious at that battle and are still remembered today by many as one of America’s most gallant units. After General Marcy's death, his widow Sarah formed a committee to name a new town for him in honor of her husband's memory. She recommended that the town be named “Marion” after him because it sounded like something like an English name (the word "marriot" means "female farmer"). The committee approved the name and initial construction began on what would become Marion University in 1867-68 under guidance from Mrs. Marcy herself. Since then, Marion has seen some great changes both inside and outside of its walls! In 1925, when Interstate 95 bypassed downtown Cincinnati and moved directly east towards Indianapolis (now known as I-465), much business activity stopped along SR 2 which now forms part of downtown streetscape conversation all year long! With so many businesses closed offSR2 during those years (and no traffic lights anywhere near!), there were times when it felt almost like life itself slowed down while motorists had to take their time exiting/entering downtown! On OCTOBER 5th 2006 however, when Barack Obama became president following 4 years of hard work as Governor OF Illinois - moments ago this world changed once again for all IL residents as MARION hit 100 YEARS old !! What better way to celebrate than by having a parade through Downtown MARION Saturday afternoon !!

Marion's roots can be found back many years ago when it was part of Iowa's original Black Hawk War territory (1830-1836). After Iowa won that war against Great Britain, many black Loyalists relocated to this area in search of new homes and opportunities. In 1871, these settlers founded what would become Marion thanks to their hard work and determination during the war. It wasn't until after World War II that things began to change for Marion as white people moved into the town from surrounding rural areas. This growth led to increased traffic congestion which caused problems for both locals and developers alike; however, today there are no negative effects associated with this type of development whatsoever. The history of Marion goes back even further than that - it actually dates back before Iowa discovered land east of the Mississippi River! According to local legend, an Indian chief named Sacagawea explored this area some time before European explorers arrived in 1795 AD! As such, it's likely that early settlers in this area included Native Americans who may have helped develop what would eventually become Marion County! Today there are numerous artifacts from this period scattered throughout our community - some dating back centuries while others are just recently unearthed!
