By 1912, Bradley had sold his share of the business to Averill Harriman and continued to operate it until his death in 1938. Harriman was an important figure in American industry during this time period and played an instrumental role in developing both Ford Motor Company and DuPont products). As time went on and more businesses moved into or closer to Boonesville Shopping Center (including Ikea), the mall continued to grow with more than 20 anchor stores including Sears Canada Store and JCPenney anchors alongside numerous specialty stores such as Menard's Sporting Goods & accessories chain and Kmart! Today, Boonesville Shopping Center remains one of downtown Des Moines' most popular tourist destinations with over 2 million visitors annually!
