The Community House Museum located here preserves many artifacts from this time period including items from James Kapp’s cabin and farmstead as well asperiod photographs and sketches of early settlers Evansville In 1907, Alonzo Morrissey bought the house and started living there himself while also developing nearby land into a large agricultural community called "Morrissey Park." The name change came about because at that time Morrissey had disagreements with local authorities over how to distribute water rights among various landowners in town - an issue that still remains unresolved to this day! Morrisseys also donated funds towards building a school within town limits - this school was finally completed in 1923 after years of planning and fundraising! The post-World War II boom brought new life to the community including shopping malls and restaurants along with growth in technology companies such as IBM and Apple Inc.. As recently as 2000, Westfield boasted more than 26 Dogeared shoe stores! Today however, concentrations are again being seen around retail areas such as downtown or Morrissey Park while larger apartment complexes dot the landscape outside of town limits – giving focus back onto its core commercial districts once again!
