The Wabash holster company was founded in 1892 by Rear Admiral John S. Holley and First Lieutenant George F. Reavis. The first holster made by the company was a leather belt holster for the Colt .45 revolver. In 1896, the company added a metal belt holster to their line-up. The holsters were designed to protect gun owners from being grabbed or stolen firearms while they were walking or driving. In 1906, Wabash became one of the founding companies of America's Manufacturing Union (AMU). This helped improve working conditions at the factory and also gave employees a better understanding of how their actions could impact their coworkers. In 1912, Wabash became an affiliate member of NRA - this allowed the company to sell firearms directly tomembership members instead of going through dealerships. In 1932, Wabash moved its manufacturing operations from Frankfort, Kentucky to Mishawaka, Indiana in order to take advantage of new technology and resources that had been brought over from Kentucky. At this point in time, Holley retired from his position as CEO and was replaced by his son Charles A. Holley Jr.. With Charles A.'s help, Wabash transitioned into a modernized manufacturing organization that continued making high quality handguns and holsters until 1978 when it closed its doors for good after many years of production growth.

Wabash was founded in 1824 by George Washington Dixon and James K. Polk as a post office named after General Washington's Creek Territory. It was renamed Wabash in 1847 when it became part of Indiana Territory. The first white settlers in what is now Wabash County date back to 1824 when George Washington Dixon and James K. Polk arrived on horseback from Illinois to explore present-day Indiana Territory. They named their new settlement after General Washington's Creek Territory which they had just discovered east of Fort Wayne – then part of Michigan Territory (now Lake County, Illinois). In 1847, Wabash became part of Indiana Territorial Government when it joined the growing United States with its neighboring states that comprised the Indian Nations territory: Potawatomi, Shawnee, Miami, Peoria and others banding together to protect their land holdings against encroachment by European settlers who were seeking to expand their commerce and resources beyond their traditional boundaries. The town growth that followed continued as Methodists began arriving in larger numbersbeginning in the early 1830s looking for religious opportunities within an expanding American democracy; prohibitionism grew popular during this time period as well; steamboats landed here frequently bringing goods eastward across Lake Michigan; construction began on numerous public buildings including a courthouse and jail – all designed by local architects using brick or stone sourced locally from quarries near the town’s core; millsstreamed steady traffic through downtown until electrical power arrived following a streetlight installation completed in 1894; today’s downtown area retains much of its original character with several blocks still containing business fronts dating back to early 19th century times – making Wabash one of most significant small towns located within today’s U.S., Canada & Mexico borders!
