High capacity kits have been a mainstay in Speedway for many years. The kits allow drivers to run more fuel in their engines and help save money on gasoline. In the early days of Speedway, most of the racing was done on dirt oval tracks. This made running large fuels necessary and so the kit became popular. High capacity kits were also used at other NASCAR races such as Daytona International Speedway and Auto Club Speedway. These races are often cited as being some of the best in the sport because of how much fuel is available.

Speedway is a small, but successful city in northwestern Indiana. The population was 18,626 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Marshall County. Midway between Chicago and Indianapolis, Speedway is an important center for racing and motorsports in the Midwest. The track has been home to NASCAR's Cup series, as well as Indycar races and World Rallycross events. In recent years, speedway also hosted figure skating events and a petting zoo. The first speedway was built on land that now includes the University of Michigan Hospital campus. The track opened in 1911 as a small dirt oval called "Creston Park". In 1915, it became a mile-long concrete track with banking that ran through town (now known as "The Loop"). That year, Motor Racing Corporation (MRC) leased it from local farmer Harry Wright for $1 million dollars. MRC used it to stage races such as the Grand National Championship race won by Al Unser Jr.. In 1948, Speedway changed its name to "Spinney Park" after owner Walter Hines Spinney donated money for construction of a new grandstand and clubhouses on site. In 1952, MRC sold the property to George Ewing for $2 million dollars which turned it into one of America's most popular sports venues; Speedweeks continue there to this day! Afternoon drive shows continue until 10pm daily while night hours are open late offering all kinds of entertainment including live music nightly!

The goal of this collaboration was to create platforms that could handle more data than ever before. At the same time, Microsoft also announced its own plans for an exascale platform.

When the first Indianapolis Motor Speedway was built in 1909, it was a small artificial track that measured only one-quarter mile in circumference. The current track was built in 1911 and is located adjacent to the now defunct Lucas Oil Raceway. The Speedway played host to a variety of racing events, including the Indianapolis 500, during its early years. In 1916, the speedway became an official part of the National Auto Racing League (NRA) and hosted its own annual race, known as the Grand National Race. The Speedway saw another major renovation in 1966 when it was renamed "Speedway Park". This renovation included addition of a new infield and grandstands. From 1976-1981 Speedway Park served as home to two editions of NASCAR's premier series: the Daytona 500 and the Coke Zero 400. However, following both races at Daytona Beach due to heat wave concerns, Speedway Park reverted back to its original name on September 10th 1981. The last event at Speedway Park took place on November 7th 1984 with a Formula One world championship race between Michael Collins and Jackie Stewart. After more than fifty years of hosting various types of racing events at this iconic facility, Speedway Park is now closed for good after being sold by management company IHOP Corporation in October 2009 for $325 million to billionaire Jeffery Lichtman.
