Gun lights were eventually made mandatory on all U.S military forces during World War I because they were seen as an important tool for night fighting and sniper activity on campaigns such as Arras in 1917-18. In 1977, Seymour merged with neighboring towns of Greenwood and Uniontown to form what is now known as Jerome Township (which contains much of modern-day Seymour). In 2000, a new high school was built in Seymour and it opened in September 2001. The old high school building has been used for storage since then by nearby Carmel High School until it can be renovated into a new gymnasium/ auditorium/ multipurpose room complex that will include an indoor arena and outdoor basketball court addition(s) on its upper floors; this project is scheduled to be completed by 2020 or 2021 according to current plans Today, there are few businesses open trade within Seymour due to competition from larger cities such as Carmel and Noblesville but many people found work opportunities available through online marketing companies or remote job postings online
