Plymouth, Indiana is a city of over 100,000 people located in the central region of the United States. The city was founded in 1836 by General Asa Hutchinson and became a center for wheat farming and industry. In 1925, the Plympton Manufacturing Company was established to produce munitions and other military equipment. The company continued to operate until it closed its doors in 1991. Plymouth has experienced many changes throughout its history, most notably during the years when it was home to the United States Military Academy (USMA) and then to West Point, one of America's top military academies. In recent decades, Plymouth has seen significant growth as a bedroom community for Indianapolis; however, much of its economic activity takes place outside of town. Asa Hutchinson was born in 1793 in Kingston Township, Long Island County, New York. He served as an officer in the American Revolution and later moved to Plymouth where he started a successful grain farm that produced flour and other goods for local merchants. In 1836 he married Mary Ann Stockbridge of Norwich Township (now part of Elkhart). They raised four children: Asa Jr., James H., Margaret M., and Esther A.. By 1840 their family had increased to eleven members with two additional children being born after they relocated from Norwich to Plymouth. In 1925 USMA opened up at USMCA on what is now known as campus Road/Ford Drive – just north of Interstate 65 – becoming one of America's first collegiate-level universities while also providing training for future leaders like Ulysses S Grant and Dwight Eisenhower. It would be here that future journalists such as Bob Woodward would attend college classes before going on to work at The Washington Post or Newsweek magazine respectively. During World War II USMA became one of America's leading institutions with students graduating into uniformed service across all branches of the Armed Forces including infantry grunt soldiers like George Patton who later led Allied forces during Operation Overlord while still an undergraduate at USMCA!. After Pearl Harbor USMA closed but reopened as an elite graduate school known today as Georgetown University which continues operation today! The close relationship between USMCA/West Point/USMCA State College NoHo has been well documented with alumni reunions taking place multiple times each year at various locations around downtown Indianapolis including Old Main Lawn on November 3rd Anniversary Edition thereof since 1971 when both schools celebrated their 50th anniversary! On October 10th & 11th 2016 both schools celebrated their 75th anniversary’s respective events! In commemoration North Central Indiana’s largest high school reunion took place on Saturday September 15th & 16th 2016 at PCMH’s Collins Campus location inside the “Hutchinson Building” which will once again be host to large alumni gatherings annually!

However, since then the economy has declined and there have been few new development projects announced since 2000. This major corporate relocation helped spur further growth for Plymouth between 1915 and 1920 thanks to new businesses opening up throughout the city limits; these included two hospitals (one operated by Methodist Hospital), four gasoline stations, eight banks (four national banks and six state banks), twelve lumber yards, twelve auto dealerships, sixteen shoe stores/repair shops, eighteen restaurants/bars/cafés, twenty-six retail stores (twenty-four grocery stores and four departmentstores), twenty-eight auto parts stores, thirty-two educational institutions ( nineteen high schools and fifteen middle schools; eleven colleges or universities ), thirty-six fire companies ( twenty three volunteer companies ), one hundred sixty five police officers , seventy two teachers' union members However, economic prosperity did not last long after World War II ended with dramatic reductions in federal funding for social welfare programs which had been key drivers of local economic development since before that time. In fact some of these same players who had thrived prior to WWII began experiencing significant decline beginning around 1960 as manufacturing jobs lost their market share while services like health care[1] became increasingly importantaling those jobs away from downtowns across America[2]. Thus despite numerous efforts over many years culminating with annexation by nearby Dubuque into that city’s government following an unsuccessful attempt by Plymouth residents to secede back in 2000,[3], Plymouth ultimately failed to maintain much of its original commercial diversity or Blvdwalk character when compared contemporaneously neighboring towns such as Dubuque[4], Rockford[5] or Peoria[6] – all communities that enjoyed far more recent waves of annexations following periods of rapid population growth attributed directly or indirectly to both federal investment subsidies spawned byietal politics related specifically theretofforts while also enjoying economies based largely upon agricultural production rather than industry
