The history of the gun swivels began in Plainfield, Indiana in 1868. A man named Denton bought a horse and buggy and started traveling to different parts of the state. He decided to buy a rifle, but didn't know where to get one. He went into a store and saw an old shotgun with a swivel stock. He picked it up and took it home. His wife was pregnant at the time, so he put the shotgun in their room and used his carpenter's power saw to cut out a hole in the bottom of the barrel so that he could feed it through to the shotgun. The first firearm ever made with a swivel stock was created in Plainfield by Denton himself!
Plainfield is a small city in Butler County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first Europeans to visit what is now Plainfield were traders and travelers from Kentucky who landed on the east coast of Michigan in 1679. They named the area after their new home of Plympton, England. A post office was established at Plainfield in 1818, and by 1827 there were twenty-one residents. The community name may be derived from "plain" being one word for "mud" and "fields" being another word for "town". In 1858, a stream called Waterloo ran through plain field north of town and this led to the name Waterloo Township being given to the township by Samuel Beadle. In 1865, land was surveyed for a railroad station onthe Indianapolis & Greenwood Railroad which became known as Plainfield Station. The first train reached Plainfield on October 10th, 1865. The village began to form around this time with citizens erecting homes along either side of what later became River Road (now Keystone Road). One hundred years ago today (January 11th), December 12th marked when Village Hall burned down during an ice storm that struck Indianapolis that year; it destroyed all but three homes in Village Square and effectively killed off any chances for development until 1903 when new streets were laid out making Wayland Park possible once again! On November 8th, 1915 local resident George Aspinwall donated 5 acres (20 hectares) of his property just east of River Road between Keystone and Washington Roads to become what would become known as Aspinwall Park complete with a swimming pool that would serve as both recreational space and homeport for the local fishing fleet! Aspinwall Park quickly became one of Indy's most popular destinations with baseball games being played there during summer months as well as plays (eccentricity not limited to these events) like Touchback or Duck Dynasty featuring players such as Grover Cleveland Alexander playing outfield! Athletic contests also regularly took place here throughout school year including weightlifting meets where athletes from area high schools competed against each other! Unfortunately due to various issues involving gang activity within his park - primarily related to drugs - George passed away suddenly in 1984 before he could see it grow into its current incarnation! The present day site includes two tennis courts (one doubles only), two basketball Courts/Basketball Arena( accommodating up to 350 people), four-lane divided road running through it providing easy access by car or bike from many nearby neighborhoods including IUPUI – adjacent parking lot available – several restaurants & cafes close by including Pizzazz Pizza located across river next door – excellent views overlooking downtown Indy skyline seen from plenty of places within few minutes walking distance currently??? Although not originally built with this use in mind - members have successfully added 2 large ponds features addition made possible thru donation/hard work!!! This mix results in perfect hideaway spot if looking for privacy while living / visiting Indianapolis !!

Plainfield is a city in Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. The population was 51,898 at the 2010 census. The city was founded in 1837 by farmers and their families who left Indianapolis after the Creek War. After three years of growth, Plainfield became an incorporated town on December 1, 1847. On July 12, 1869, the city merged with neighboring Lawrenceburg to form what is now known as Plainfield-Lawrenceburg Township. Plainfield was laid out on a land grant from James Keken and others in 1828. The first settler in what is now Plainfield arrived in September 1830 from Maryland with five family members and two horses under the leadership of Nicholas Sparks. In 1830–31 there were only four families living here; all other residents started arriving shortly thereafter. As early as 1840s some businesses had been established in this area including a store and post office – which are still extant today – several churches (Anglican, Methodist Episcopal), two mills (one that ground meal and one that ground flour), a schoolhouse (now used for storage) and a number of homes. By 1860 most of these buildings had been destroyed by fire or moved away when the community expanded into its present boundaries around 1865-1867; however one church remains standing until it burned down in 1903 due to barnstorming activities by local students during college class periods! In 1850s many people coming westward were attracted to this land because it had no water supply but also because of its rich deposits of coal so much so that company towns were formed soon after to house miners while their claims matured (e.g., Lawrenceburg township). This trend continued throughout the next century with numerous company towns being founded across Indiana while mines produced such minerals as coal, silver ore etc.; however few ever achieved great size although they did serve important economic purposes within their respective communities/ boroughs/townships etc.. One notable exception was Plainfield where over fifty companies mined coal from 1799 until 1901 producing more than 6 million tonnes! Coal production peaked around 1861 when about 60% of all coal mined statewide was produced here including about 25% exported! In addition locomotives broughtcoal transportation distances much shorter making this one of America's top producers for this key fuel during this time period! The last major boom occurred during World War II when many jobs went abroad due to war efforts providing vast amounts of new resources needed for war production like oil and other metals etc.; however once hostilities ended plants slowly returned back home with little impact on local economies aside from small increases (+/- 2%) following WWII always led bygithub leaders corporate headquarters location changes notwithstanding !!! However even today there are occasional job postings related directly or indirectly to energy resources or engineering projects especially near Marshalltown Airport serving our region’s growing economy !!!
Plainfield was founded by the Potawatomi Indians in 1795. It became a part of the United States in 1815. The town was first named "Pine Grove" after a small forest near where it was located. In 1827, the name was changed to Plainfield because of its many plain fields.
