Noblesville, Indiana is a city of over 100,000 people located in the metropolitan area of Indianapolis. The city was founded in 1824 by General David Noble and is named after him. It became a municipality in 1898. The population of Noblesville grew to over 200,000 by 1930 and it has since grown to over 350,000 residents today. Gun swivels have been a part of the city’s history for many years now. In 1881, two businessmen from Chicago, John Prentice and George Wickersham, began selling gun turrets called “Prentice Turrets” at the then-new Noblesville Arsenal. These turrets were designed to rotate so that they could be used as firearms sights on horseback or carts. The rifles that were sold with these turrets were called “Wickersham Guns”. On October 2nd, 1881, Noble donated land at the north side of town for an armory which would serve as the home for this new company. This company was known as Noble Arms Company until 1897 when it merged with another company named Armour & Wilkinson to become Armour & Wilkinson Arms Company Incorporated (A&W). A&W continued production of gun turret products until 1907 when they switched their focus to shotguns and pistols. From 1907-1909 A&W also produced rifle barrels under license from Colt Firearms Company Ltd.. During World War I munitions production increased dramatically due to American entry into the war on April 6th 1915]]. Production peaked in 1917 when more than 50 million rounds were produced.[[The normal business cycle during World War I led to an increase in production but because there was no market for these munitions after the war ended],[] guns resumed exports following World War II but only modestly because there was no need for them again untilsurprise demand arose from mass civilian shootings such as those seen during Columbine High School Massacre in 1999]]. With firearm technology changing rapidly throughout much of 20th century,[[the introduction of automatic weapons like machineguns made swivelling guns obsolete]]],Noblesville decided it was time to make its own version of a gun swivel! In 1952 Armour & Wilkinson introduced their first model known as armour Swivel which allowed users To change aim while seated within their weapon giving it greater accuracy while sitting or standing up - perfect for those who had difficulties maintaining aimed fire while moving around! Noblesville is a town in Porter County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,554 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first post office in Noble was established in 1837 and was renamed Noblesville in 1868. The current post office building opened on December 5, 1903. In 1907, the town plat was filed and Noble incorporated as a village on October 20, 1909. On July 1, 1916 the village had a population of 2,451 and it became an incorporated city on December 4 of that year by an act of the Indiana General Assembly. The city's original boundaries were those of Porter Township to the east and south and Noble Heights to the north (the eastern boundary then being along State Road 119). On January 1, 1968 Noble merged with Terre Haute to form what is now known as Indianapolis metropolitan area

Noblesville, Indiana is a small city in the state of Indiana. It is located on the north bank of the White River, about 25 miles (40 km) east of Indianapolis. The population was 19,851 at the 2010 census. The name "Noblesville" may be derived from one or more early settlers of this community who were noblemen or gentlemen investors in land and other businesses. Noble family farms still remain in operation in central Noble County, and many Noblesville residents are descended from these early families. The first permanent European settlers arrived in what is now Noble County in 1814 when General James Wilkinson and his force founded a trading post on the banks of the White River near present-day Noblesville. By 1826, most of what is now Noble County had been purchased by Colonel John Collier, who named it for himself and his father-in-law, Sir George Noble. In 1830, Collier sold portions of his holdings to Captain Tobias Leary and Drury Lane Purchase Company merchants for $1 million dollars. These new owners developed numerous commercial enterprises throughout central Noble County before it became an incorporated town under its current name on December 1, 1912. Undergraduates at Purdue University first began attending classes here in 1837 as part of a larger educational movement that swept through Indiana during the mid-19th century as farming communities consolidated around Independencia College (now West Virginia University). Classes rapidly expanded to meet demand; within two years enrollment had reached 30 students per classroom! Classes were eventually relocated to nearby Bell Labs buildings on New Market Street beginning in 1941 following World War II shortages of space at Purdue’s main campus across the street. At its peak enrollment – over 500 students – Purdue Normal School offered undergraduate instruction from fall term 1918 through spring term 1948! Today only graduate level classes offer undergraduate training at Purdue Normal School; however summer session courses continue each year for high school seniors interested in pursuing undergraduate degrees at our university! In 1907 John Fenton donated 100 acres (40 hectares) northwest of downtown Indianapolis to become State Fairgrounds property; this area would ultimately become home to both the Indianapolis Zoo and Lucas Oil Stadium! On July 4th, 1907 – just six weeks after he donated the land – Fenton made an official dedication speech while flanked by then Mayor Hanna Hays and members of both houses of Congress! This event marked not only Indianapolis’ first state fair but also its debut as an organized town with a full municipal government! In answer to repeated requests for years thereafter for brick markers marking this important occasion - including examinations taken shortly after Fenton's death which demonstrated just how quickly Noblesville had grown - local officials erected initial markers atop Fairgrounds property during 1958 & 1959!! The original stone markers still stand today - reminder yet again that progress can always be measured by how well we mark those milestones which make our community unique!
