Continued rapid growth led to increasing infrastructure needs such as more streetlights (), sewers () , water systems () etc.; however these demands did not always meetamorphose into economic opportunities for those who built them () . This changed whenindustrialization arrived in central Indiana starting around 1850 (). Manufacturing exploded along with demand for goods produced by northern companies such as railroads (.Factory buildings replaced residences/ businesses during this time) which led directly to increased wages for workers and more jobs available for those who could find them (). As manufacturing started moving away from rural areas towards urban areas many people left their hometowns altogether looking for better opportunities (). However even though they may have left their homes they never forgot about their hometowns roots where they found family, friends, food,, fun things2 do3 etc.; so many people are descended from settlers who lived in or near New Albany during this time frame

New Albany, Indiana is a small town located in the southernmost corner of the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 9,816 at the 2010 census. New Albany is one of the oldest settlements in present-day Indiana and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over two hundred years. The first European to set foot in what is now New Albany was French trader La Salle on July 3, 1679 during his raid on the Monongahela River area. La Salle named this region "New Albany" after his hometown of Alainville, France. In 1787, General James Wilkinson built Fort Dearborn here and reached an agreement with the Shawnee Indians to sell them land east of the Ohio River for $151 per acre (approximately $6 million today). As settlers arrived in this region, they soon encountered problems with local Native American groups who were already using this site as a summer hunting ground and trade center for goods brought downriver from back East. One such problem was that these groups were not afraid of white men and often attacked new arrivals while they were still gathering resources and learning about their way of life. This situation led to some early conflict between settlers and native people which helped shape early New Albany history. In 1802, New Albany became part of territorial government under United States jurisdiction following Indian Removal Act which ended Indigenous presence in America south of Lake Michigan. At this time, many natives moved northwest into present day Ohio or west into Illinois Territory due to lack of food options available within their traditional territory). As a result, most commercial operations in central Indiana shifted out from here until after 1840 when railroads came through centralIndiana making it easier for goods to be transported across state lines
