In 1912, Yoder Manufacturing Company became operational in New Albany with manufacturing of shotguns, rifles and handguns beginning production there as well as exports to Mexico City. In 1934, Yoder merged with National Firearms Corporation which resulted in the demise of Beauregard Firearms & Smithy due to competition from National Firearms Corporation's shotgun line which was superior at that time
