Black powder wasn’t high explosive like today’s munitions so it needed to bedrained before being used in firearms. The first successful handgun using black powder was created by John Brown at Providence Plantation in 1836 AD. After this event, gunpowder became more popular than cannon because it could be reloaded quickly without having to walk back to the Arsenal each time a new round was needed

Munster is a small town in central Indiana, United States. The population was 5,569 at the 2010 census. Munster is the smallest of six towns in the city of Indianapolis, and has the distinction of being one of only two towns in central Indiana that have never been annexed by Indianapolis. Munster is located on high ground overlooking downtown Indianapolis and its many civic and cultural amenities. The name "Munster" is derived from both English and French meaning "happy place." The first settler in what would become Munster was James Caldwell, who arrived in 1814. In 1825, John Trueblood settled here with his family. In 1827, Pierre Menard arrived and built the first home on land that would later become part of Munster. From this time forward, Munster grew rapidly as new settlers came to live hereabouts. By 1830, there were over 20 homes in town! In 1834-35, General David Dixon led an army against Native Americans at Fort Dearborn while stationed here. After defeating the Indians completely he returned to Chicago for supplies but re-enacted what was called "Dixon's War" on July 9th-10thust 1934 when he again fought against them near present day Harrisonburg (just east of today's Munster). The battle resulted in three dead Indian warriors and five horses killed along with about 30 white men including Dixon himself! This event helped solidify Anglo-Indian relations which had been deteriorating since before America achieved independence from Great Britain/India
