Merrillville, Indiana is home to the oldest gun magazine in America. The first gun magazine in Merrillville was established on December 1, 1837 by Capt. John Merrill and his brother-in-law, James Hickey. The first issue of the Merrillville Magazine featured articles onhorseback riding and rifle hunting. In 1839, Captain Merrill sold the magazine to his brother-in-law, James Hickey Jr., who renamed it the Merrillville Rifle & Pistol Journal. In 1865, Capt. John Merrill passed away and his son took over ownership of the journal. The magazines continued publication until 1971 when they were replaced by the current card cataloging service called Card shop America Incorporated which today operates the magazines under their own name.

Pistol revolvers generally come with 2 or 4 Rounds stored inside each chamber while rifles usually only carry 1 round(s) in each chamber meaning that 9mm Auto Magazines will not work properly on these platforms - users must either use another type of revolverMagazine or load them into another rifle which has an additional chamber(s) for storage.(This limitation does not apply to pump shotguns which feature 3 chambers instead of 2.)

Merrillville is a small town in southern Indiana. The population was 1,816 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Terre Haute, Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. Merrillville is located on the banks of the White River and has a downtown area with a library, post office, bank, gym, and several restaurants and nightlife establishments. The first people to live in Merrillville were Native Americans who hunted and collected game in what is now central Illinois. The first settler in Merrillville was James Rector who made his home in 1827 near present day Lafayette Street. He married Esther Whipple and had three children: James (1828-1911), Martha Ann (1830-1914), and Amasa Jerome (1832-1900). Merrillville was platted by John Merrill on December 12, 1847 as part of an effort to create a commercial center between Terre Haute and Indianapolis. The name “Merrill” originated from General Andrew Jarratt’s headquarters at this site during the War for Independence which he called “Merrill’s Fort” because of its position on an important route between India Field west of Cincinnati via land grants from President George Washington to Major Barney Holliday when he captured that fort late in 1775. In 1871, John Denton purchased title to Lots 3 & 4 within city limits from Amos Jerome for $1 per acre subject to annual payment of $5/acre until exhaustion or sale by Denton; lots 5 & 6 were acquired separately later that year also paying annually $5/acre until exhaustion or sale by Denton; lot 7 was donated by Edwin Henson in 1907 after being inspired by stories about pioneer farmers living thereabouts who had raised pigs without using any artificial feedstocks. A local grocery store opened its doors for business on May 25, 1912 following consolidation of two previous stores: The Merchants Store (later known as First National) which opened November 15th 1911 adjacent to Wigwam Hall Schoolhouse on Main Street opposite State Fairgrounds; and Mrs. Pfeiffer's Grocery Annex which opened November 30th 1912 across Fourth Street from First National store across Main Street from bank building where social dances used to be held prior to school opening each morning preceding classes began each day at 8 A.M.. The community experienced significant growth due primarily to heavy industry associated with nearby Purdue University beginning around World War I including production of rubber products for military use; however more recent growth has been fueled by residential development over the past few decades principally centered around Stonington Boulevard just east of downtown along White River Side extending all the way northward into rural farmland bordering Dearborn County before terminating at Interstate 69 just south of town limits
