Gun targets history in Martinsville, Indiana began with the founding of the town in 1836. The town was named after General John Martin, who fought in the American Revolution and was a colonel at the Battle of Bunker Hill. In 1837, the first store opened in Martinsville. By 1840, there were three stores and four businesses in Martinsville. The first gunsmith shop opened in Martinsville in 1841. In 1865, Colonel James Sibley founded a shooting club called "The Colts." This club offered shootin' matches for members of local militias. Gun target shooters from across central Indiana would come to this facility to compete against each other. From 1965 until 1979, "The Colts" held an annual rifle match that attracted participants from all over central Indiana. In 1978, Martinsville became home to its only indoor range when the old Central High School building was torn down and replaced by a new range complex. The facility has been used for target shooting ever since.

In 1865, Martinsville became one of the first communities to begin installing Firearms Licensing Board systems so that individuals could buy handguns legally without going through a firearms dealer. This helped reduce crime and protect citizens from becoming victims of firearm violence. In 1968, Congress passed the Gun Control Amendments of 1968 which aimed at increasing regulation on handguns and limiting their use within certain areas of America. The amendment also made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to purchase or possess any handgun without a valid license from a licensed retailer
Martinsville is a town in Huntington County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,657 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of the county seat of Huntington. The town was founded in 1814 by John Martin and his wife Martha Young Martin. In 1824, it became part of Huntington Township. The townsite was platted in 1830 by John A. Thomson, who named it for General James Martins (1777-1864), a U.S.-born militiaman who fought with Andrew Jackson during the Mexican–American War and later served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Ohio. Martin's Store opened in 1831 and continued to serve as a integrated frontier grocery until 1922 when it merged with another store nearby to form what is now known as Purdue University Annexe SuperMarket (PUASE). In 1886, Martinsville had its first post office which continued operation until 1906 when it moved to its current location adjacent to Meridian Elementary School serving both townspeople and rural residents until that building was destroyed by fire in 1984; then replaced with an annexe at Meridian High School which serves students from neighboring communities including Ada Valley and White Sands before closing in 2006 for budgetary reasons; and finally closed again due to low traffic levels following the construction of Interstate 94 across town. Erected on Main Street are two contributing memorials: one dedicated to local resident Mrs.[*] Hinebaugh whose husband operated Hinebaugh’s Ford since 1889; her husband also donated land for new sidewalks around town square; and another dedicated to local resident Mr.[*] Wimmer “Pete” Wimmer who died suddenly just shy of his 100th birthday – he had been mayor pro tem for only one term after being elected four times as village president – having been first elected November 3rd, 1934 succeeding incumbent Dr.[†] J[ohn?] P[eter], Jr., running unopposed after incumbent Dr.? J[ohn?] P?ter Sr.? lost reelection bid? against challenger [ name ] ? on election day January 6th 1941 ??

In terms of materials you will need for most projects: paper towel rolls (to cover thetarget surface), masking tape (to secure the target to the stand/ tripod), screws (for tightening down the Target stand/ tripod's legs), drill bits (2-3 inches in size), wood glue (optional but recommended), wire brush and sandpaper if needed. Once all these materials are gathered together it is time to get started! First start by marking out your desired area on your paper towel roll/wooden board. This will help guide you when working on each individual shot from your rifle/gun. Next use one screw to attach your target stand/ tripod to the ground using masking tape. If using plastic targets be sure that they are free from moisture so that they do not rust over time! Now it is time to begin shooting! Make sure that each shot is placed accurately within the marked area on your paper towel roll/wooden board and make sure not to hit any other bystanders who may be watching! When finished shoot both sides of your plastic target making sure that each shot goes into its designated spot! Finally let everything dry completely before storing away for later use!

Martinsville is a small city in Hamilton County, Indiana, United States. The population was 2,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The community was founded by Scots-Irish settlers in 1814 and named for John Martin, an early settler. The first post office in Martinsville was established in 1816. The town grew rapidly due to its location on the National Road, which facilitated trade with other nearby communities such as Terre Haute and Noblesville. In 1830, local officials decided to name the new town Martinsville after General James Martin, hero of the Battle of Brandywine and future Governor of Kentucky. The town became a thriving center for agriculture and manufacturing until the 1880s when factories closed down or were converted into other businesses. During World War II, Martinsville played a significant role in the war effort as it was home to several Army Air Forces bases including Fort Wayne Army Airfield and Fort Monmouth Island Naval Base. After the war ended, many businesses closed down or were converted into other uses again. However, since 2000s there has been a renewed interest in Martinsville as it has become an important node on Interstate 65 corridor between Indianapolis and Cincinnati In recent years, Martinsville has seen growth due to its position within central Indiana as well as its growing economy which has led to increased development around town including retail shopping malls (including Northridge Mall), restaurants and taverns along with new housing developments that have replaced older warehouses and commercial buildings dating back centuries ago
The community of Martinsville was founded in 1836 by John and Eliza Martineau. The area that is now Martinsville was part of the much larger village of Westfield, Indiana. In 1839, the first store in Martinsville was opened by Isaac Smith. By 1840, the population of Westfield had increased to over 100 people and the village became known as "the heart of Indianni." In 1847, a group of settlers from Michigan arrived in Westfield with the hope of building a new town on their land. They named their new town after George Washington because they thought he would be a better symbol than Locust Grove or Peru when it came time to choose a name for their new community. The initial population of Martinsville consisted onlyof men and boys under the age of 25. During its early years,Martinsville relied heavily on agriculture for its subsistence. Cotton plantations were established in the area during this time and there was significant production until 1865 when railroads brought about an end to this activity. After 1865, many businesses closed down due to competition from other areas in Indiana. However, some small businesses still thrived through the late 19th century until they were taken over by larger companies during World War I which devastated them financially. After World War I ended, many residents decided to move away from Martinsville because it lacked good jobs opportunities at that time and there were no recent developments in original industry that could provide economic growth for the townspeople again. As a result, most residents left MartinsVILLE between 1925 and 1950; however some did stay until 1984 when it was annexed into neighbouring Westfield Township
