When the first Americans arrived in what is now Martinsville, IN in 1800, they were impacted by gun-related violence. The settlers needed to protect themselves from Apaches and other raiders. They also used guns for hunting and farming. The first gun grip was likely a crude wooden implement that was used to hold a rifle or shotgun. Martinsville is a town in Tipton County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,867 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Indianapolis–Marion metropolitan area. The community was founded by John Martin and his family in 1826. The first post office in Martinsville was established in 1827 and remained open until it closed in 1907. The name for the community came from John Martin's brother-in-law, Daniel Greenleaf. Greenleaf had named a creek after him, "Martin's Creek." John Martin enlarged his farmstead to include land east of the Logansport Road and west of Ulysses S. Grant Boulevard when he moved to Martinsville from what is now Union Township on March 4, 1826. He built a log cabin on the present site of the current courthouse which later became home to his wife Sarah and their six children: John (Jr.), James (Jr.), Martha (Mrs. James), David (Mr.,later Congressman), Ebenezer ( afterwards Senator), Ezekiel (Ezekiel) and Lydia Maria Abbotts (Lydia M.) Martin III who married George Washington Carver on December 7, 1865 at Lebanon Baptist Church near Elkhart Lake in Tipton County just before her death on October 9, 1888 AD aged 82 years old). George Washington Carver also lived here during this time as did their daughter Alice Forrest Carver who later became Mrs Davis Woodson Cary Jr.. On January 15th 1830 marriages were performed at First Presbyterian Church by Rev Dr Wm Hensley officiating with Rev Geo Fenton as Recorder with 30 couples including 3 ladies from Illinois under license from Gov Randolph . On that day 300 pioneers arrived at this place including Capt Smith . It will be interesting to see if any remains remain today or have been removed over time

The postwar period saw an increasing number of handguns designed for self-defense use, including handguns chambered for .380 ACP ammunition as well as larger calibers such as 9mm Luger and 10mm Parabellum. As these guns became more popular, manufacturers began to offer customized grips specifically designed for these platforms. The most common type of custom gripping handle today is called a “Triggerman” handle; it features a familiar triggerguard/finger rest combo found on most revolvers and most Glock pistols. Today’s handguns are often fired using multiple rounds at once through an AR-15 style weapon chambering system; therefore, there is always need for perfect gripping techniques when firing those rounds simultaneously. With that in mind, it is important to keep in mind how to hold your firearm while firing it – especially if you are unfamiliar with its specific design or manufacturing process! The town of Martinsville was founded in 1817 by Nicholas Martins and his wife, Anne. The first store was built on the current site of the Barnes-Williams Funeral Home. In 1830, John Marshall purchased the land which now includes Martinsville and began to build a gristmill. The mill continued to be operated until 1865. In 1882, local businessman J.B. Holmes organized a group of investors to purchase the mill from Marshall and begin operation as the first textile mill in Indiana. The mill was renamed the Holmes Mill Company in 1915 after its founder's death. In 1929, the company merged with several other mills to form American Textile Corporation (ATC). ATC became one of America's leading producers of textiles and clothing until it went bankrupt in 1985 following a recession; however, it continues to produce apparel for export markets today.
