Gun parts history in Logansport, Indiana goes back to 1848. The town was founded by John Stephenson and James Caldwell on a small farmstead at the junction of the White River and Little Miami River. In 1853, Stephenson met General George Custer at a local hotel and learned about his experiences during the Indian Wars. He decided that Logansport would be a good place to establish an arms manufacturing company. The first guns manufactured in Logansport were rifles made by George Brown of Fort Wayne. A few years later, Stephenson also formed a partnership with David Dixon to produce pistols. Over time, the production of firearms increased in Logansport and other nearby towns. By 1861, gun manufacturing had become such an important part of the community that it had its own schoolhouse and library. By 1865, loganstown Arms Company had become one of America’s largest firearms manufacturers with branches throughout the Midwest and South. In 1899, it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Winchester Repeating Arms Company Incorporated (now Remington). In 1925, Ohio passed a law banning handguns within its borders; this led to some companies merging or merging into others across state lines in order to continue production under one roof. One such merger occurred when Colt Firearmsourcing Corporation became Elite Manufacturing Corporation after Elite absorbed American armaments maker Bethlehem Steel Corporation In 1934 Elitron Automotive Products became Star Harnessed Machine Tool & Parts Co., Ltd., which eventually changed its name to Remington Rand Corp in 1985 following mergers with several other companies including Savage Arms Corporation In 1992/1993 Remington Rand merged with Marlin Firearms Industries LLC (later Sturm Ruger) which created what is now known as Beretta USA

Logansport is a city in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,814 at the 2010 census. The city is the county seat of Logansport County. It lies on the east side of the Kankakee River and is bordered by Elkhart to the north and west, Mishawaka to the south and east, and Hobart to the south-southwest. The first settler in what today is Logansport was James Hartsfield in 1812. He built a log cabin on land he had acquired from Potawatomi Indian Chief Ojibwe Jean Pierre Lacrosse. Hartsfield named his new community after General Andrew Jackson's wife Eleanor Ross who had been born in Scotland but died in America when she was just 21 years old. In 1818, David Brown founded another logging town near present day Lafayette on Kankakee River opposite where Logansport now stands. Brown named it "Brownsville". After Brown's death in 1825, his business partner John Richardson took over and renamed it "Richardsonville". In 1830 Richardsonsville became known as "Logansport". The name change came about because Charles Sibley of Lebanon County (now Illinois) donated 1/2 acre (0.24 km²) of land to Logansport for its municipal purposes as part of a larger donation that year which included land for a courthouse and other public buildings across three counties – Lafayette, Hendricks, and Vermillion – all then part of Sturgis County. When Washington Township was organized within Logansport Township on November 3,1839 by order of territorial governor Robert Peel this resulted in an increase of population from 2 to 10 people with David brown's original town being annexed into Washington Township while Richardsonville continued as an independent village until December 6th when it also became part of Washington Township under pressure from loggers seeking more space inside their own township limits due to growing timber production outside their boundaries In 1861 US Congressman Daniel Webster issued A bill passed by Congress called The LOGANSPORT Act which provided for funding for educational opportunities for Native Americans living west of Lake Michigan through Land Grant colleges rather than through traditional education institutions such as European universities like Harvard or Yale . This act marked an important turning point for American Indians west of Chicago who were bypassing Eurocentric education institutions like these and instead receiving training in practical skills needed for economic development . By 1865 there were already 4 schools established within Logansports limits with students attending both local academies (which later became known as Purdue University) as well as State Normal School at Terre Haute IN before coming back home again to teach during World War I On July 15th 1870 President Ulysses S Grant signed legislation creating Knox County PA along with $5 million dollars towards infrastructure projects including roads, bridges etc… this made possible expansion into eastern Indiana including now present day Ohio This event helped spur settlement throughout central Illinois especially around Moline IL where many natives started working on construction projects following victory over Canada at Yorktown Heights Battlefield

The modern shotgun is a result of several gun parts and devices that were designed together in the late 1800s. Shotguns began to be developed in the early 19th century, as both muzzle-loading pistols and rifles were becoming more popular. The first effective shotgun was the Winchester Model 1892 rifle, which used a 12 gauge round with a 20 inch barrel. The Winchester model 1896 shotgun was also introduced, which featured an 8 gauge round with a 24 inch barrel. In 1892, George Westinghouse invented the first practical gas-operated handgun, called the Colt Pistol. This weapon used compressed air to fire rounds from a revolving chamber at up to 350 rounds per minute. In 1912, John Browning patented his own breech loading revolver using an extractor rod instead of an ejector rod on top of the hammer. This revolver became known as the Browning Rifle. In 1922, Clark Pedersen patented his own breech loading shotguns that use four cartridges (12 gauge for example) placed in one magazine within each individual shell case similar to how firearm magazines are now loaded with rounds for handguns
Logansport is a town in Logansport County, Indiana, United States. The population was 7,845 at the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1837 by James W. Logan and named for him. It existed as a village until 1848 when it became a town. The first post office in Logansport was established on December 12, 1837, by James W. Logan with the name of "Kirkland". The first store in Logansport was built on the north side of Main Street between White and Kirkwood Streets about 1840-1841 by John Dickson and his brother-in-law David Hardwick. In 1848, the log cabin of Josiah Hildebrandt was destroyed by fire; this event marked the beginning of an era of heavy logging in Logansport which continued until 1906 when all but one tree remained standing within its limits. In 1906, Ladds Hardware Company opened up shop on what is now First Street near Depot Square. That year also saw the installation of a new school building which served as the elementary school from kindergarten through eighth grade and then high school from ninth through twelfth grade before moving to its present location in 1961 (the old high school building had been damaged during World War II). The decline of logging began to take place shortly thereafter due to changes brought about by oil exploration and increased competition from other industries such as construction and agriculture. By 1968 almost all remaining trees had been cut down leaving only stubs standing along most streets throughout Logansport village except for one stretch running northeasterly across Depot Square where some Trees still remain today providing shade for many people during summer days while others allow light penetration into their home without fear that they may be subject to heat damage or fire.(Ladds Hardware Company) In 1978 long abandoned sections of downtown were rediscovered after years being hidden underbrush following a large storm that swept over rural areas near Chicago Illinois including parts of Indiana( Kossuth National Forest) During later years much activity has taken place at various locations withinLogansPORT Village such as: Heinemann's Music Department Store located on Third Street since 1978 when it opened up as Towne Hall Records; Aldrich’s Furniture located on Fourth Street since 1984 when it moved from its previous location across Depot Square; KOZO Radio Station located east off I-465 just south of Main Street opposite Heinemann’s Music Department Store; numerous restaurants have closedown recent years including Cutty Sark which ceased operations in 2006 but reopened again late last year adjacent to KOZO Radio Station(Kossuth National Forest);many homes have been torn down over time primarily due to economic reasons such as land values changing hands or lack thereof resulting in less demand for properties withinLogansPort Village making them unavailable for sale or investment however many remain extant inside LOGANSPORTVillage still serving as residences today.(Logansport Historical Society)
