The bullet size of a handguntarget is usually smaller than the bullet size of a shotgun or rifle cartridge so it takes more time and effort to hit your target with them than with other types of targets. Lake Station is a small town in Hancock County, Indiana, United States. The population was 446 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Terre Haute, IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in what is now Lake Station was James Winton who arrived in 1814. By 1825, there were nine settlers living here and by 1830, there were fifteen settlers. In 1835, a post office was established here with John Ransom as the first postmaster. The community grew rapidly due to its strategic location on the international stage at the mouth of the Kankakee River and access to water resources. By 1850, there were twenty-one dwellings and two stores with a population of 350 people! In 1861, George Hinkle platted this area into land grant known as "Hancock Township". On December 21st of that year it became official when Acting Governor David Dyer signed an order granting township form to Daniel Saylor and others for their services during the Civil War including 3 years service under General Joseph Hooker as captain of horse artillery regiment 2nd brigade Illinois Volunteers (4th Division). By 1870, most residents had moved away from Lake Station because of economic reasons such as Prohibition being passed in America and competition from larger towns like Terre Haute which had more industry. However some remained until they left for good around 1930 when World War II began and many families decided to move westward into Michigan Territory because things looked bad back east for America citizens who supported Roosevelt’s New Deal policies during that time period! After World War II ended in 1945 local businesses started up again but by 1955 no one lived here anymore because so few people wanted to leave after all these years of decline! Today only a few foundations remain from when many people lived here over 20 years ago including: a Methodist church built 1914; an old schoolhouse built 1912; an attendance tower from 1957-1960 used as a garage; and portions of two churches that once served this community: First Baptist Church which was built 1902 also known as Northwest Methodist Episcopal Church (now First United Methodist Church) located just south side main street; and Second Baptist Church which was constructed 1907 also known as Pleasant View Baptist Church located on east side main street next door to Griggs Dairy Store

Lake Station is a small town in Posey County, Indiana, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Fort Wayne Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first post office at Lake Station was opened in 1836. The town was named for General James K. Polk (1799-1865), Commander of the Union Army during the Mexican-American War and United States Secretary of State in Andrew Johnson's cabinet. The town was laid out by George Wickersham in 1839, and it became a village on November 3, 1841. A post office called Parkville was established at Parkville on February 17, 1850, and remained in operation until it closed on July 14, 1865. On January 20, 1886, Lake Station incorporated as a city under its own laws with a population of 753 residents. On October 15th of that year the city charter was amended to change its name to "Fort Wayne", due to local objections to being called "Lake Station". On December 12th 1899 an act authorizing the creation of what would become known as Purdue University passed both houses of Congress without objection from either party and President McKinley signed it into law eight days later making Purdue one of only two private universities in America at that time. That same year also saw the opening of Milwaukee Road's new line from Chicago through Fort Wayne via Rockford Junction bringing job opportunities for locals and new settlers alike; much like today with all manner of businesses popping up along that stretch now known as I-465 In 1930 Lake Station annexed White Township including many small rural villages which had been excluded from cityhood until then A fire destroyed most buildings within downtown Fort Wayne on December 5th 1933 after weekslong fighting between firefighters and arsonists started as part of a larger campaign against government monopoly over fire prevention
