Lafayette became an incorporated town on December 3rd, 1851 when it amalgamated with other nearby towns including Middletown (now Terre Haute), Hammondsport, Peru Junction and Fort Wayne to form what would become one of America's largest cities and remain so until 1959 when it lost its charter due to restrictive zoning ordinances

MKPs became standard equipment on U.S armored units during Operation Desert Storm in 1990-1991; they proved particularly useful against Iraqis armed with missiles and RPG launchers who had broken through Iraqi security fences into Kuwait City prior to this conflict. These weapons helped stabilize areas after protracted violence characterized much of Iraq before Saddam Hussein's overthrow in 2003."
