In 1939, another group called “The Shotgunners” was founded by Jack Whitehorn and his brother-in-law Don Helmsman Sr.. This group also had a lot of success because they were able to get more people interested in shotguns than before! Eventually, both groups merged into one larger organization called “The Pistol & Riflemens Association” which still exists today! This organization is responsible for allocating funds for firearm programs throughout Jasper County! It is interesting to note that this organization has been around since 1916!!!
