Griffith is a small town in Pulaski County, Indiana. It was founded by Nicholas Griffith in 1827. The first gunsmith in Griffith was John Capps, who built the first gun in town. In 1850, the United States government bought land in Griffith and established a military post there. In 1853, the post was renamed Fort Dearborn and later Fort Wayne. In 1906, the fort was moved to its present location on Wall Street in downtown Griffith. The arsenal that now stands at Fort Dearborn National Historic Site was built here between 1912 and 1916 by the Department of Defense as part of Project Runway (the U.S.'s national program for designing and building airfields).

A shotgun uses Lever action while a rifle uses Bolt Action technology - both systems use 6 round magazines instead of 7 rounds like handguns do! Rifle pistols also use bolt action but they often feature multiple shotshells that can be cocked independently before being fired - this allows them to be used as hybrids between rifles & handguns depending on their user’s preference!

Griffith is located on the west bank of the White River and has a total area of just over one square mile (0.6 km2). The first settlement in what became Griffith was made by David Griffith in 1814 after he and his brother-in-law reached it from Fort Harrison on the Ohio River. They named their new community "Griffith" after General James Wilkinson's home state of Virginia. The first school was built in 1817 and initial enrollment was only 10 students. By 1830, membership had grown to 20 students and three teachers. A gristmill was built in 1834 and began production that year; it continues to operate today as a miller's store." By 1840, much of present day Granger had been settled including what is now downtown Griffittsville. The first post office was established here in 1845 with Pomeroy as its first receiver/postmaster./ In 1861, when Delaware County was created from parts of Raisin and Posey counties, Griffith became part of that county.. The population declined rapidly during the American Civil War because most men were drafted or served in duty outside Illinois.; However, due to increasing demand for cotton goods shipped downriver from Vincennes through occupied Indiana Territory (now West Virginia), some people returned home following the war.; After Reconstruction ended with passage of the Fourteenth Amendment to the US Constitution which guaranteed civil rights for African Americans., many residents decided to stay put.: Many businesses continue to be operated unchanged since they were founded long ago like Grifftown Drug Store which still operates today next door on Second Street./ Three churches have been built here: First Presbyterian Church (1834), Methodist Episcopal Church (1870), Baptist Churches - Fourth Ward Chapel (1964)

Griffith was founded in 1839 by Daniel Griffith and his wife Hannah. The new town was named for General Robert E. Lee, who had fought in the American Civil War. The Griffiths purchased a 160-acre tract of land on the east side of the Little Miami River from Nicholas Hanks in 1840 and began to develop it into a farming community. They erected a log cabin and built several other small homes until they acquired the larger home on State Road 12 in 1846. In 1850, they organized their own school district and became the first school district in Indiana to issue its own certificates of graduation. By 1870, they had outgrown their farmstead and moved to what is now Ballwin, Missouri. From there, they developed another successful business enterprise: oil production on an adjacent rancho during the early years of the 20th century. In 1938, Dan Griffith died at age 94; his wife continued running her businesses until her death in 1984. Today, most of Hannah's original homes still stand along State Road 12 in Griffith – as well as a number of other noteworthy buildings associated with that period of local history such as the Griffsons' Masonic Lodge #10 (founded 1841), gristmill (1847), post office (1849) and courthouse (1850).
