However, due to its entrepreneurialism and investment capabilities; it bounced back during the late 19th century into one of Northwest Indiana's leading commercial towns thanks largely to its strong community spirit and two key factors: firstly its open-mindedness towards change which helped attract talented newcomers during this time period; secondly its location within easy commuting distance of major metropolitan areas such as Indianapolis or Chicago - both cities which experienced significant growth at this time - meaning businesses could tap into these growing markets without having to leave their home turf).
